No group bookings. no youth groups.brThe Baltic seaside resort of Göhren lies between cornfields and the Bodden in the south-east of the holiday island of Rügen, directly on the steep shore of the Baltic Sea. It is the southernmost seaside resort of the four Baltic seaside resorts of Binz, Sellin, Baabe and Göhren. Villa Erika was built on the high shore of Göhren in 1891 by the Wolgaster Aktiengesellschaft on behalf of the imperial personal physician Dr Hase. It is a so-called Wolgasthaus. Villa Erika served as a holiday home and summer residence from the very beginning. Over the course of its history, it was used as a holiday home and later as a guesthouse.brbrAlso on the ground floor is the large kitchen with seating and a view of the very large garden. There you can still enjoy the old trees, ginkgo, yew and hanging beech, and relax in the hammock or deckchairs. The house offers space for 10 guests.brbrThe house was sensitively reconstructed in 2016/19 with the aim of recreating the historic villa character of the listed building. There are five double bedrooms on the upper floors, three with terraces facing south, east and west. There are four shower rooms. The bedrooms, which extend over two floors, are connected by the central staircase, the walls of which are clad entirely in wood. The shared rooms are located on the ground floor next to the main entrance and the cloakroom. With its historic pitch pine wall panelling, the smaller living room, TV room and library display all the charm of the old spa architecture. The large dining room and the veranda offer a bay window with a view of the Baltic Sea to the north-east and access to the front area of the garden. There is a rustic sauna trolley which you are welcome to use. The seaside resort of Baabe is the oldest village on Mönchgut, dating back a good 750 years, and is situated on an isthmus in the biosphere reserve. This location means that Baabe is surrounded by all the different types of landscape that can be found on Rügen - deciduous and coniferous forests, hilly Bodden landscapes and the unspoilt nature of the Baltic Sea coast. When the weather is fine, Baabe's beach invites you to sunbathe and romp around in the shallow water. Take a long walk in the rough season and then stretch out your tired limbs in front of the crackling fireplace - a nice book or a glass of wine in your hand - just do what you feel like doing.brbrRügen - a fascinating landscape, majestic sunsets and the vastness of the sea have always magically drawn artists and writers here. Here they found a home for their longings for nature and unadulterated life. Baabe is a quiet seaside resort with a sandy beach up to 25 metres wide. Bathing tourism only really took off here in the 1920s.
