Produce & products from local farms are available from Leaf Food Hub when you order in advance. Pick up is on Thursdays at our shops in town. We pick up for guests arriving on weekends. brbrTiny House of Paul was designed by architectural home designer/builder r & furniture craftsman, Paul J. Frank. A 4-room style & full size loft create a cozy yet spacious feel . A large west-facing window looks out onto the forest. Small windows in the loft open to tree tops & stars. Private inside, and centrally located near the greenhouse, woodshop, forest & daffodil field. This opportunity to live "tiny," and/or meet the designer, is welcomed by many.brbrThe loft has a raised ceiling(6"3) so it feels like a full bedroom up there where you can sleep with the stars. The steps to the loft require some agility. We want guests to confirm they are able to kneel as you enter the loft opening (you can stand after that).brbrThere is a full shower, toilet with bidet, and a basic kitchen (kettle, french press, toaster oven, mini-fridge, crock pot, electric skillet & induction plate) and all cooking utensils and dishes. If you're missing anything we're happy to provide it.brbrRelax and spend time on the screened in porch or deck. Guests are welcome to move furnishings around as needed. There is a small Weber grill for you to use(guests provide their own charcoal and lighter fluid). Recently we were gifted a copper outdoor firepit. It currently doesn't have a permanent location, but we're working on that.brbrTiny House of Paul is winter-ready with excellent insulation & radiant floor heating. We have an outdoor woodstove that heats the radiant floor in both the tiny house & main house. We keep the home fires burning all winter. In summer there's an efficient & quiet cooling systems. The house will be set to a comfortable temperature for all times of year. You can adjust the unit in the loft for cooling. The ceiling fan in the living room is set to circulate according to season.brbrWe cannot guarantee dependable wifi in the country, although most guests say it's fine. We are currently on a list to have a new reuter installed so guests can work away from home in a natural setting.brbrThe entire tiny home is yours to use. Your parking spot is right alongside the tiny next to the deck or behind the tree. You'll see a sign. You are welcome to wander the property - visit the greenhouse, gardens and walk the trails around the pond.brbrBonnie is a mindfulness meditation teacher who sometimes hosts day retreats monthly in House of Paul, the main building on the property. She is available for Mindful Living sessions(for a fee).brbrPaul is the creator of everything you see, including having planted 4500 trees on this former daffodil farm. He's always happy to talk about how he landed here 35 years ago and what is vision is about, if you're interested. The town of Cobden is less than a mile away. We can give suggestions for farmer's markets, shops, places to eat, get groceries etc.brbrA binder in the tiny house has brochures, maps, local guidebooks etc. Make yourselves at home in Tiny House of Paul, on our property & in Southernmost Illinois. If you need anything, let us know. We leave the tiny unlocked for you, but the lockbox is in the porch and the code is in the binder if you want to lock the tiny when you're out.brbrThis listing is set to allow pets for a fee. Please let us know what kind and size of dog that you have(and their name). There are three cats plus plenty of wildlife on the property so dogs must be leashed. We also request that you do not leave the dog inside unattended, or let them up on the furniture or bed. We hope people are able to bring a dog bed or a crate. We love dogs and understand that guests like to bring them along. You do not have to scoop poop on the property unless it's on the lawn. brbrWe look forward to hosting you.brbrBonnie & Paulbr
