If doubled up, can sleep a MAXIMUM of 8 people. We are 1 block from the El Chicago's main transportation, the building is insulated so even with the train so close, you can hear it but he building does a great job of muffling the noise.brbrbrbrMust climb stairs sto get to the apartment.brbrbrbrGuest Access:brbrThe entire unitbrbrbrbrThe Neighborhood:brbrSet next to Museum Campus and including historic Printers Row, the large South Loop is a lively hub of classic bars and diverse restaurants, plus longtime clubs Jazz Showcase and Buddy Guy's Legends. Students and creative types frequent the Museum of Contemporary Photography, while blues label Chess Records offers tours of its recording studio.brbrbrbrGetting Around:brbrWe are right next to the train, so public transportation is very easy to get to and can take you anywhere in Chicago. The subway and the Magnificent Mile are also well within walking distance. This basement studio is ideal for those who want to combine a city break with some beach time.brbr**Please note that due to the age of the house, the pipework has been known to bang when the heating is turned on. This means that the space is not suitable for very light sleepers or those sensitive to noise.brbrEntering the studio takes you immediately into the open plan bedroom/living area, which has a space-saving double wall bed and a double-velvet chesterfield sofa bed. Furnishing and amenities include a TV, nightstands and tasteful period decor throughout. The prices vary from $30-60 per day depending on proximity to the property.brbrWe also recommend using SpotHero online to book a space, which is usually cheaper.brbrOther Things to Note:brThere is a high likelihood of noise due to the city centre location and being below a Townhouse. Neighbours are nearby, and noise in the flat must be limited after 10 pm. The pipes in the suite are also known to bang slightly when the heating is on.brbrWe may require a deposit for single-night bookings, last-minute reservations, and large booking groups. This can be retained for noise complaints, unauthorized parties, excessive uncleanliness, or damage beyond normal use.brbrUnfortunately, we do not have parking permits for the street. We are the main residents of the property, and are excited to host you in our furnished guest space while you explore the city. Whether you are traveling for business or vacation, our private guest space has all you need to recharge and relax.brbrThe spacebrThere are 2 spacious bedrooms with queen mattresses, luxurious white sheets and plenty of pillows. The bathroom is gorgeous with new double-sinks, under-cabinet lighting and a massive spa-like shower. A convenient kitchenette includes a mini-fridge, coffee maker, microwave, electric kettle & dishes/silverware!brbrGuest accessbrPlease be advised there is no common area or living room in the space. However your unit is separate from the above units, with your own private, self-check-in entrance - so you can come and go as you please. Great patio space to enjoy as well!brbrOther things to notebrThe entrance to the unit is in the rear of the building, through the back door. To get there, you pass through a breezeway at the right side of the building. There are a few stairs down to get into the unit, but once you are inside, there aren't any stairs and the shower is a walk-in. You'll never have to worry about losing a key because the unit is accessed with a key code lock!brbrThere is free parking in front of the house (first-come, first-serve), however, you can't park there after 6 pm. I am happy to offer you parking passes for after 6pm each day, just please ask in advance! I'll usually leave some in the unit, but just in case. Using the App Spot Hero will show you where to find the closest overnight parking at the lowest rate. It is also easy to hail an Uber/Lyft from the unit, as they are always nearby in the neighborhood and it is a short drive into downtown.brbrWe live on the property and do our best to keep noise at a minimum, but you may hear some noise from time to time. We abide by our moderate cancellation policy. Unfortunately, we do not allow pets.
