Toad Hall near Wrigley

Chicago, Illinois, United States

Summary:brbrI took a perfectly nice little flat on a beautiful street and filled it with great things...I want my guests to feel less like they are at an Airbnb and more like their 'very tidy but quirky friend' gave them keys to the flat for a weekend away.brbrbrbrThe Space:brbrI believe in high standards of personal comfort, so you'll only find high thread count cotton sheets on the bed (usually a bit wrinkled, as I don't like you enough to iron them), comfortable feather pillows, great mattresses, and thick towels. The bath products are offer are from Public Goods and seem to be universally liked. We also supply a good amount of coffee and some other little amenities to really make you feel looked after.brbrbrbrMy flat is up one flight of stairs, which will present a challenge to anyone with limited mobility. The shower has a full size bath tub and great water pressure. The kitchen is quite large (by Chicago standards) and the sleeping area includes a desk.brbrbrbrLOCATIONbrbrbrbrAlthough shops and restaurants are nearby, the area feels peaceful and secluded. The brown line train is about a 10 minute walk down Montrose avenue, with trains running into the heart of the city and easy transfers to the subway service. I am also immediately beside the Clark street bus, which goes down into the Wrigleyville area. brbrbrbrWithin a three minute walk are some great takeaway food spots and a 7-11; the area centered around the Montrose CTA stop has three or four lovely spots to eat and a couple of great bears.brbrbrbrIt is about a 20 minute walk down Clark street from the front door of the flat to Wrigley field.brbrbrbrEXCLUSIVE PERKSbrbrbrbrDuring your stay as my guest, you receive a free membership to The Metropolitan, a members-only club and co-working space located on the 66th and 67th floors of the Willis Tower (for reservations 14 days only).brbrbrbrIncluded with your membership:brbr✔ Upscale co-working space, dining, and barsbrbr✔ Stunning views of Chicago and Lake MichiganbrbrbrbrMessage me for more details!brbrbrbrPARKING brbrbrbrA parking spot isn't included. There's free street parking on our block and most residential blocks nearby except between 5-10pm on Cubs game nights and when there are special events at Wrigley Field. Be sure to move your car because the street will be a tow zone during those hours without a residential permit. Be sure to check all signs nearby when parking because it's easy to get a ticket when parking rules are broken. brbrbrbrI also highly recommend using service called SpotHero to reserve a spot nearby before you arrive.brbrbrbrFUN QUIRKS ABOUT THE FLATbrbrbrbrThe boiler that provides heat and hot water for the whole building is located one floor below the flat, and some vibrations can carry into the unit at times as it works away. We've installed dampeners on the bed frame that help mitigate the effects quite a bit. It's one of the fun quirks of life in many of Chicago's vintage buildings!brbrbrbrGuest Access:brbrThe entire flat is yours. If you smoke, I ask that you go off of the property (not outside of the back door).brbrbrbrOther Things to Note:brbrFREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSbrbrbrbrQ: “How do I get to ‘x’ from the apartment /How far is the apartment from ‘x’ ”brbrA: Excellent public transit directions from my flat to any point in the city are available via web search. Quirky Quarters at Wrigley

Chicago, Illinois, United States

Summary:brbrI think you are just going to love my apartment. The space features wonderful large street level windows in the living room and has all of the quirky charm that vintage buildings offer up. The location literally can't be beat, with the apartment a ten minute walk from Wrigley Field, the bustling Southport shopping corridor, and both the red line and brown line subway stations. There is no parking available with the apartment.brbrbrbrThe Space:brbrI've used my years of experience as a superhost and designer to set up this unique flat so that it includes all the comforts of home while embracing the quirky charm that only a vintage building can offer. brbrbrbrA couple of friendly but important notes about my flat:brbrbrbr1) Because my flat is located in a 100+ year-old urban building on the ground floor, you may occasionally find an errant cobweb or two, in spite of my hardworking staff's best efforts. They clean the flat several times a week but you may still see the work of an enterprising critter pop up during your stay. brbrbrbr2) Please also note that because the building is vintage, you will hear some noise from my upstairs neighbors and occasionally from passersby's.brbrbrbr3) It is very possible that you will hear noise from above the unit. There is nothing I am able to do to prevent the noise.brbrbrbrLOCATIONbrbrbrbrAlthough shops and restaurants are only a short walk away, the area feels peaceful and secluded. Taj Ma-small at Wrigley

Chicago, Illinois, United States

Summary:brbrI think you are just going to love my apartment. The space features wonderful large windows in both rooms and has all of the quirky charm that vintage buildings offer up. The location literally can't be beat, with the apartment a four-minute walk from Wrigley Field, the bustling Southport shopping corridor, and both the red line and brown line subway stations. It's also a walk to all of the 'Boystown' nightlife. There is no parking available with the apartment.brbrbrbrThe Space:brbrThis apartment was originally a shoe repair store! The neighborhood used to be full of tiny shops at ground level. I've used my years of experience as a superhost and designer to set up this unique flat so that it includes all the comforts of home while embracing the quirky charm that only a vintage building can offer. brbrbrbrPlease keep in mind that because my flat is located in a 100+ year-old urban building on the ground floor, you may occasionally find an errant cobweb or two, in spite of my hardworking staff's best efforts.
