However, this beautiful island has more to offer. Tysnes has rolling hillsides, heather and large forest areas. Hike to the top of Tysnes' highest mountain, Tysnessåta. The hike to the top takes about an hour and the views at the top are spectacular. If you enjoy hiking but might prefer an easier alternative, try the hike to Ramnanuten. The hike is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. In addition, you'll find a small chocolate factory and award-winning cheese, as well as a great archipelago perfect for boat trips.
