Short walk to Barmouth over the bridge. Accommodation was very comfortable and extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Lots of excellent hikes straight from the door so no need to drive. Cadair Idris a short drive away if need something challenging. DVD collection is huge and board games etc available. Plenty of hot water and solar and mains heating so no chance of getting cold in the winter. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and sure that you would too.”

The Dairy was the original farm dairy building dating back to the 18th century. It has been converted into a one bedroom cottage, with fully fitted Kitchen/Diner. Bedroom, Sitting room and Wet room. Heating is by multi-fuel stove. The sitting room has a french door opening onto a private patio area with table and chairs, commanding spectacular views over the Cardigan bay to Bardsy Island and the Llyn Penninsular.brbrThe Old Dairy is a wonderful location for a relaxing holiday.brbrThe spacebrThere is a lower patio area outside the Kitchen with mountain views. The Dairy is separated from the rest of the property by a wall and fence, and has its own gated parking area..brThe 18th centuary old dairy is situated beyond the cottage and has its own gated entrance.brIt was origionally just one room, the store room being added above at a later date and was origionally accessed by a door opening onto the bank behind. The stairs were added by a previous owner.brIt has been sympathetically converted into a charming stone built, reasonably secluded holiday cottage.brbrSpend a holiday in the foothills of Cadair Idris, a land steeped in myth and mystery. Where King Arthur and Merlin, according to legend, once walked. Where the locals still speak a language older than Latin.brThe precipice walk above Dolgellau gives spectacular views along the valley.brCreggennan lakes are 10 minutes walk from the cottage, the smaller lake is stocked, and the larger lake is wild. Fishing permits can be obtained from the farm above the lake, Ffridd Boedal. The hill above the lake is the ''Pared y Gefnhir'' it is from this hill that the house and cottage get their name.brArthog falls can be reached from the footpath opposite the church in Arthog.brThe Blue Lake above Fairbourne is an old reservoir, and the water is truly blue. It can be reached from Ffordd Panteinion, Friog. (opposite the telephone exchange) Parking can be difficult, but a few hundred yards up the road is a gate and style on the right, follow the path, it is quite steep, and it will lead to the blue lake. The water is always blue and ice cold!
