The Hut on the Hill is a luxury Shepherds Hut; but it is so much more than just a hut. Fully centrally heated, with King size bed, extensive outside area, kitchen with gas cooker, microwave and fridge. The panoramic views are outstanding from all aspects of the hut. In addition, the adjacent stable, also centrally heated, consists of a utility area, with space to dry wet kit, wet pets and safe place for bikes, canoes etc.brThe spacebrThe Shepherd's Hut has a heated 400 year old stone stable right next door. There is space here to store logs, dry outdoor gear, keep bikes, canoes or walking equipment and to sit under cover during poor weather. In addition, the stable has an outdoor kitchen with an under cover terrace area for you to sit outside and take in the countryside while enjoying the views. There is a firepit, BBQ, seating area, including a hammockbrIf you are looking for all mod cons, including Wifi, and want to party till dawn , this hut is not for you. However, if you just want to simply unwind, kick back and de stress in the most beautiful surroundings, within an area of outstanding natural beauty then get in touch. We will do everything we can to make your stay a very special one.brWe can provide our guests with special guest packages designed to help celebrate special anniversaries, birthdays etc. These include, flowers, photography session, cakes/ afternoon tea, balloon packages and meal ready when you arrive. All details will be available once you book.brGuest accessbrThe Hut on the Hill is accessed down a Forestry track from the main road. The entrance is marked by a reflector post and a sign saying Lower Carterspiece Farm with bunting attached. SAT NAV does not always recognise this, so guests are sent detailed directions on booking. A car is recommended.brOther things to notebrDogs are welcome but we ask that they sleep in the adjacent cosy stable if they are wet, where they can be washed and dried off and enjoy the warmth of the central heating during colder months. However, if your dog is anxious, then please let us know and we will see what we can do. They can have access to the Hut during the day and when they are clean! The meadow in front of the Hut is secure and can be used for dogs to run around while you are around. You can also close the gate to keep them secure around the hut. There are numerous walks and hikes into the forest and across open fields straight from the door. Even to two dog friendly pubs!
