Some of the original parts of the cottage date back to the 14th century. There is generous living space and a large enclosed garden to enjoy. Winsford is located in the heart of Exmoor National Park. There is an inviting pub next to the cottage and a local shop within walking distance. The cottage is surrounded by the majesty of Exmoor and there is easy access to some spectacular country walks on the moorland with an extensive network of well marked footpaths. Dulverton is located 6 miles away and has a wider range of shops, restaurants and tea rooms. A visit to Tarr Steps and Dunkery Beacon, highest point on Exmoor, are some of the highlights. Wimball Lake is a short drive away where you can enjoy the wildlife that surrounds the lake, or enjoy sailing, canoeing or angling on the lake. Other local attractions that may be of interest are the village and castle at Dunster, the West Somerset Railway at Minehead and the villages of Porlock Weir, Lynton and Lynmouth. There are beaches at Dunster and Blue Anchor. Fully renovated to a high standard in 2021, this beautiful semi-detached property sits in the heart of the village of Winsford, considered to be one of the prettiest in Exmoor. Retaining many of its original features and stylishly presented throughout, it is an ideal location for enjoying the delights of this lovely area. The Exmoor town of Dulverton is worth a visit and has a good range of shops and restaurants. Looking towards the coast, there is the medieval town of Dunster with its castle (NT), and then on to Minehead, which also has a larger range of shops and amenities, as well as the West Somerset Railway and beach area. Other areas of interest close by are Porlock and Porlock Weir, and a little further along the coast are Lynton and Lynmouth, the two towns being connected by the Victorian cliff railway.
