The traditional, south-facing Villa Saraix was completely renovated in 2014. The sun-drenched villa welcomes us in a delicate terracotta colour on a plot surrounded by pine trees. Between the villa and the pool there is a sun terrace with a total of 8 sun loungers and 1 parasol. On the sun loungers you can enjoy the warm southern sun after a swim or watch your children play in the pool. A wooden bench and a polyrattan table with comfortable chairs and apple-green cushions offer the opportunity to spend convivial moments. Under a covered terrace on the side of the house, there is another outdoor seating area with wooden furniture and the same exciting green cushions, as well as another wooden bench in the shade. If you put the two ensembles together, you can enjoy an entertaining barbecue evening, as each of the two terraces has a walled barbecue. An external staircase at the side of the house leads to the top floor. Above the roof terrace is a tower room, which is designed as an additional living room for chilling out or as a reading room and offers a beautiful view of the rural structure of the surroundings and the grounds. Villa Saraix is a particular highlight for us. The grounds belonging to the villa are actually much more spacious, so you can take long walks around the grounds. Sheep, pigs and chickens are still kept at some distance from the house, but of course they can't reach Villa Saraix. Today we were invited by Mateo to visit his villa Sa Caseta de Castellet together. A small but beautiful holiday home that offers everything you need for a holiday without sacrificing luxury. When we arrive at the villa, we realise that it is located on a beautiful estate surrounded by lots of trees, completely hidden away in a fabulous, secluded spot. Mateo (the owner) and his dog, who lives in the finca, give you a warm welcome. If you wish, the dog can be kept in his kennel so he doesn't roam free. We were really impressed by that alone! Everything is so natural here and after a short time you no longer feel like you're just on holiday. The strikingly large pool with outdoor shower is at the side of the house. The pool with its meandering pattern is child-friendly and has an oval step access. The pool area is surrounded by a large, spacious sun terrace with six sun loungers. If shade is needed, white parasols are available. While you relax on the sun loungers by the pool, you can enjoy a marvellous distant view over the beautiful area around Santa Margalida. Let's visit the large terrace by the house, lined with many plants, some of which are skilfully planted in disused garden accessories such as a wheelbarrow. There is a lovely dining area with white furniture under a covered terrace. For cosy get-togethers, there is polyrattan furniture with comfortable white cushions, partly in the style of a recamiere. In this villa with a view of the built-in barbecue and the fountain, you can enjoy nature and life to the full in the evenings. In addition to the barbecue, there is also an outdoor kitchen area with oven so you can enjoy a large part of your holiday outside in the mild Mediterranean.brbrbrbr The interior of the house is accessible from the terrace.brbr Although not luxurious, the classic furnishing style exudes a fabulous cosiness. The combined living, dining and kitchen area is in one open-plan space. The floors are covered with terracotta tiles, the walls are painted in a light colour and there are wooden beams on the ceiling. There are integrated illuminated shelves around the fireplace. The pretty accessories are shown to their best advantage in the soft light. Two comfortable sofas invite you to relax so that you can enjoy a cosy evening in front of the fireplace on cooler nights. A collection of hand-painted porcelain plates hangs on the walls, a typical example of Mallorcan craftsmanship. Between the living area and the kitchen is a large dining area with an oval wooden table. In addition to the chest of drawers, there is plenty of storage space for crockery in the kitchen units. The five-burner gas hob adds a nostalgic touch. Two double bedrooms offer space for a total of four people. One bedroom has a French-style double bed measuring 1.50 x 1.90 metres, while the second bedroom has two single beds, each measuring 0.9 x 2 metres, making this room ideal for children.
