Private Vacation Home

Bright & spacious 3 bed home in pisac

Písac, Cuzco, Peru

Come and stay at our peaceful Pisac home in the most sought after area in town (La Rinconada) - it's bright, spacious, and has everything you need to really feel at home.brbrThe beds are super comfy, the kitchen's fully equipped, we're a short walk from a jaw dropping river, not far from the Pisac ruins, and minutes from town!brbrWe have a garden, a basic balcony, space to park, and access is super easy since we're just off the main Pisac road.brHouse manualbrbrOur water situation:brThe water at the house is fresh running water from the river - which makes it great for your skin and hair when you shower and fine for washing plates - but to be safe, not so good for drinking or brushing your teeth! (We also prefer not to cook with it, although all the locals do, and when tests were done it was given the ok)brAfter it’s rained hard in Pisac (and especially at river water places like ours) the water may run brown after it's rained very heavily - in which case not to worry, it's just a bit of earth! It'll go back to normal after a few minutes or at worst after a few hours.brbrGetting online:brFor WiFi, we were using mobile hotspot with Movistar which works perfectly (Netflix water temp:brIf the water is a little too hot, you can adjust it on the boiler which you'll find outside, on the outer wall that's on the other side of the bathroom shower.brbrThrowing out the rubbish:brWhilst it might sound a little strange, the Pisac council collects rubbish from places like ours from the side of the road. Please leave tied rubbish bags by the road (on the grassy patch) on the other side of our fence for collection.brbrAgain, we want your stay to be nothing short of perfect, so if anything is off at any point, or if we can help in any way whatsoever, please don't hesitate to

We`re happy to share suggestions for activities, local spots, and must-see places in Pisac and the valley.brbrFor more information about the area, check out our guidebook!brbrYou`ll find beautiful mountains to hike, rivers to see, sites and communities to visit, and wonderful lagoons up in the mountains.brbrThe magnificent Intihuatana (The Incan Ruins of Pisac) is a short tuktuk or taxi ride away from town. brbrYou`ll find plenty of medicine ceremonies, yoga sessions, massage sessions, guided hikes and tours, ecstatic dance sessions, kirtan, sound healing, the list goes on... There`s a lot happening in Pisac! You`ll find more info about what you can do, and our favourite places in our guidebook.brbrIn the food market you can buy blended juices of your choice for just 5 soles, and there`s a huge selection of fresh veg, fruit, herbs, fish & meat, as well as general items in the upstairs section.brbrIn town, you`ll also find the biggest artisanal market in the valley, which has an impressive selection of handmade goods, jewellery, carpets, artwork, clothing etc.brbrThere`s a huge selection of restaurants that will suit every budget and taste pallet - you`ll find local dishes, as well as international food like curry, Pizza, Sushi, Vegetarian, Vegan, steak, etc... We`ve shared our favourite places in our guidebook.brbrThe Valley:brColectivos run all the way along the valley, from Cusco to Ollantaytambo (and beyond!)brIt`s the cheapest way to get around the city - and super easy, as `colectivos` pass by every 10 or so minutes and run from early morning til late in the evening.brbrPisac:brTravel to Intihuatana (the famous Pisac ruins), the lakes, and beautiful mountain hikes in the Pisac area is easy via a tuk-tuk (called mototaxis in Peru) or local taxi car, both of which you can catch from outside of the Pisac Mercado De Abastos (the main food market). In the house manual you`ll find numbers for our favourite taxis.brbrMotorcycle Hire:brWe also offer Motorcycle hire! It`s available at 40-80 soles per day, please enquire in advance though :)brbrParking your car:brThere`s a carpark just opposite Mercado de Abastos where you can park your car inexpensively during your stay.brbrSome things to mention:brbr- As it`s a ground-floor apartment, there will be occasional sounds from neighbors, and you`ll have to be conscious of when you are and aren`t making a lot of noise.brbr- We`re quite literally in the heart of town - which comes with its benefits (being close to pretty much everything) and potential downsides - no mountain view and there won`t be absolute silence like you can find up in the mountains.brbrI personally love living there, and don`t mind a bit of sound considering all the benefits of living in such a central location.brbr- The windows in the house aren`t the best - in the bedroom, there`s what I`d describe as a light chimney where air and a small amount of light get in (no view though!)brThe window in the main living room is large and lets a reasonable amount of light in - but almost directly outside of it (we are based in an alleyway) there`s another building, which certainly lowers the amount of light that enters.brBeing in the alley, it`s a quieter house than others in town - with it being quieter though, we get the occasional visitor (both dogs and unfortunately sometimes people) doing their thang in the alley! We`ve put cameras up to try and control it but want you to know in advance!brbrAlso, please keep in mind that since the apartment is facing the alleyway, there isn`t much privacy unless the curtains are closed.brbr- Here is some guidance so we can assure all of the guests in the building are comfortable:brbrQuiet hours: please try to keep quiet between 10 pm to 8 am (when other guests are likely to be resting)brbrPlease keep the bathroom & bedroom doors closed as often as possible to keep the noise down for yourself and your neighbors (sound travels through the `light chimney` like crazy!)brbr-Please note that houses in Pisac don`t have central heating and radiators - so the warmth you might be used to back home likely won`t be possible! brbrMost people get by just fine by wrapping up when the sun goes down, and the beds are sufficiently warm. But we have a gas heater for those who would like to use one (around 10usd for gas which lasts 1 to 3 weeks depending on usage - there may be some gas on arrival if lucky!)brbrWe ask that you don`t bring in extra electric heaters unless otherwise agreed, as they cost a lot in electricity! brThanks :)brbr- Ants make an entry if they find anything in the casa - clean the sides and empty bins regularly to avoid unwanted housemates this almost always keeps them away, but plz call us right away if they persist!brAnother note: please don`t bring any animals into the house, unless we`ve agreed otherwise.brbrIf you have doubts about whether something would be OK or not, please reach out :)brbrI think that`s everything... Cheers!

We`re happy to share suggestions for activities, local spots, and must-see places in Pisac and the valley.brbrFor more information about the area, check out our guidebook!brbrSome things to mention:brbr- In the 2nd bedroom, there`s what I`d describe as a light chimney, which allows a small amount of light into the room but isn`t by any means a standard window (see photo for reference).brbr- The apartment is located of the 3rd floor with no lift :)brbr- As it`s an apartment, there will be occasional sounds from neighbors, and you`ll have to be conscious of when you are and aren`t making a lot of noise.brbr- Quiet hours: please try to keep quiet between 10 pm to 8 am (when other guests are likely to be resting)brbr- Please keep the bathroom & bedroom doors closed as often as possible to keep the noise down for yourself and your neighbors (sound travels through the `light chimney` like crazy!)brbr- We`re quite literally in the heart of town - which comes with its benefits (being close to pretty much everything) and potential downsides - there won`t be absolute silence like you can find up in the mountains.brbrI personally love living there, and don`t mind a bit of sound considering all the benefits of living in such a central location.brbr-Please note that houses in Pisac don`t have central heating and radiators - so the warmth you might be used to back home likely won`t be possible! brbrMost people get by just fine by wrapping up when the sun goes down, and the beds are sufficiently warm. But we have a gas heater for those who would like to use one (around 10usd for gas which lasts 1 to 3 weeks depending on usage - there may be some gas on arrival if lucky!)brbrWe ask that you don`t bring in extra electric heaters unless otherwise agreed, as they cost a lot in electricity! brThanks :)brHi guys - we want you to enjoy the casa - but also have to have rules to make sure your neighbours are enjoying their stay too! If you want to have visitors, please clear it with us first (we’ve never said no!)brbrIf rules are broken, we reserve the right to cancel the booking without refund.
