As the cabin is situated in a wooded, pond front area, wildlife is often seen nearby, including moose, carribou, eagles and sandhill cranes. brbrComfortably sleeps 12 in beds, not on air mattresses or couches. Rustic finishes accent modern amenities for the true, Alaskan experience in comfort. Each bedroom has a faux fireplace heater, thoughtful bedding, and light blocking curtains. The newly finished kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, cookware, dishes, utinsels, spices, coffee maker, and more. The dining table allows for seating for 10, but additional chairs are provided. The living area contains comfortable seating and a smart TV.brbrThere is a full size freezer available to store fish after having it processed. Privacy with easy highway access and a convenience store at the entry to the driveway. brbrHelp yourself to our everbearing raspberries on the left side yard. We have incredible bank fishing on our 131 feet of river access for a handful of different salmon species (Sockeye, King, Silver, and Pink), Rainbow Trout, and Dolly Varden. Our private fishing platforms are a short walk from both cabins. You can also put on your river boots and waders and step right into the river for that reel Alaskan experience. brbr-THE DENALI CABIN (Cabin seen here on VRBO)-brEnjoy our newly remodeled riverfront cabin that comfortably sleeps six to nine guests. After you clean and fillet your fish at the aluminum cleaning station, your fish is ready to be given that last good wash in the processing room and then packaged into bags we provide and vacuum sealed with our commercial vacuum sealer. Because of our “south side” location, we are about an hour drive to the Sterling and Russian River locations. Even though we are fairly successful fishing on our own, we are a big proponent of using guides to assure the best fishing results. We are a 3.5 hour scenic highway drive from Anchorage Airport (ANC) and less than an hour from the Kenai Airport. Day trips to towns of Homer, Seward, and Kenai will give you a chance to experience the diversity of Alaska and the Kenai Peninsula. Heading to Seward you will travel north from the Kenai river valley through flat wetlands with scrub spruce to the mountains with stands of Sitka Spruce forest and clear mountain lakes passing by Exit Glacier to Seward with all its beauty of Resurrection Bay. You may decide to head south on another day along the coastline of Cook Inlet to Kachemak Bay and Homer where you will be treated on a clear day the majestic views of the Aleutian mountain range and Mount Redoubt.
