Inside is a welcoming farmhouse style cabin with butcherblock counter tops, rustic beam, vinyl plank flooring, and carpet upstairs to the loft. The kitchen is stocked with the essential utensils and basic spices, condiments and cooking oil. With place settings for four, you can choose to stay in, or go out on the town. There's plenty of towels in the bathroom, shampoo and soap, as well as a hair-dryer if you don't want to pack your own.brbrGuests have access to most areas of the property, the only off limits area would be our residence and the immediate surrounding area. There is an adjacent lot to the cabin that is a wonderful green space with mature birch trees, choke cherry trees, and a variety of wild berry bushes.brbrMy wife and I live on the property and truly love hosting, we don't want a hotel experience for our guests, we want you to feel like this is home. We BBQ in the summer time and chase aurora in the winter. Aurora views are awesome, and it's a low traffic area, but right off a paved road and two minutes to the highway. Nestled in a mature birch forest, you'll love the peace and quiet, yet convenient location.brbrParking is easy. There is a large circular private road off of the main road, and each guest house has it's own two car off-street parking area.brbrKayaks and Mountain Bikes are available for guests to use, as well as a variety of outdoor equipment like hiking packs, snowshoes, hammocks, and tents. If you're feeling adventurous and looking to DIY a day trip, we can get you started.brWe ask our guests to observe quite hours from 10PM to 8AM. brbrWe also ask that our guests don't flush anything down the toilet that isn't toilet paper. We have a septic system, and it can be damaged by trash and debris.

Guests don’t need to worry about the cold temperatures with a year-round heating system. The cabin is cozy even in the coldest of winter temperatures. The cabin has running water, full kitchen and full bathroom (shower and tub) inside the cabin. Caribou Cabin feels like a home away from home. brbrThe kitchen has is full of necessities and niceties to make a trip more comfortable. The dining area has a table large enough to comfortably sit four adults. A highchair is available upon request. I do not keep it in the cabin, so please let me know if you need it prior to your arrival.brbrThe living room has plenty of space to relax while you enjoy each other’s company or watch something on TV. Guests can easily log into their Netflix, Amazon, YouTube accounts, etc. with the available Wi-Fi. The futon collapses into a full size (or double) bed with all the necessary linens in the cabin if needed. brbrThe cabin has a full bathroom with bathtub/shower. There is a washing machine and dryer located inside the cabin for use. brbrUpstairs in the loft, is the bedroom with a queen bed and an open closet and dresser. A pack ‘n play is available upon request. I do not keep it in the cabin, so please let me know if you need it prior to your arrival.brbrUp to two pets are welcome, but I do ask that you contact me prior to booking just so I am aware before your arrival. We do ask guests to only bring pets that are potty trained, that they clean up after their pets, and that are not left unattended.brbrThe cabin is off a cut-de-sac at the end of a gravel road so there is not a lot of traffic noise. We have a large storage garage/shop next door to the cabin. My husband is a retired contractor and still has some equipment parked across from the cabin, but none of it should be run during your stay.brbrOn the day of check-in (usually around 2 PM), I will send a check in information, including the deadbolt code. Guests will then be able to check in at your convenience. If there are any issues, I will have added the phone number that is listed through the account to my favorites list and it will ring through to me day or night. We have a single house in the woods on the private 1 acre yard. There is a playground in the backyard to entertain your kids. During the summer time we set a hammock and a porch swing. We have a cozy deck with a pellet BBQ grill.brbrWe did our best to equip the house with everything you may need for comfort and leisure: cozy blankets, board games, books, air hockey and video arcade games.brbrThe home features 3 bedrooms, 2 ½ bathrooms. A full equipped kitchen with Nespresso machine, Coffee brew, laundry room. Game room has a TV, a full size air hockey table and 2 Arcade machines! Two bedrooms equipped with TVs. The house has 3 Nest thermostats to control comfort temperature.brbrPlease note this property is located in North Pole, AK. North Pole is notoriously known for hard water, and while we do everything in our power to combat and remedy this, our water can have a hard water smell coming from it. Please be assured it is safe, it can just sometimes emit a hard water smell. Please take this into account before booking with us.brbrTravel insurance is recommended. As with any vacation, unexpected situations sometimes occur that can put a damper on even the best-planned trips. We stand by our firm by our cancelation policy and getting travel insurance is your best option for protecting your trip from the unexpected. brbr***For stays longer than 30 nights we do require a lease agreement, background check, copy of drivers license, and a one time insurance fee to be paid before your arrival. The one time insurance fee for stays 30-90 nights it will be an additional $750, 91-180 nights would be $1000, 181-270 nights would be $1250, and 271-364 nights would be $1500***brbrFor reservations longer than 30 days, we charge a doubled cleaning fee due to the increased time and effort required for maintaining the property.
