De Zeemeermin is a very peaceful house built on an area of sand dunes that is designated as an area of natural beauty. The house has many unique features including an open fire and exposed brick work, it is not however a house full of mod cons, without even a television this is a house to kick back and relax, swim walk on the beach, make use of all the bicycle paths explore the historic towns of Middleburg and Zierikzee.

Stayed Jun 6, 2025On the whole a very successful stay at Zeemeermin with many possibilities for children and grownups to play games inside and outside in the extensive garden and for the adults to enjoy the sunshine and chat or read in the large living-room upstairs. 1 disadvantage: it's not easy to open and close some windows anymore. End conclusion: almost like a paradise. When we left, I felt obliged to look back and say goodbye to the house and beautiful surroundings.

Stayed Apr 20, 2019The house is beautiful and has a very intelligent architecture. Very well equiped. Big garden with a lot of animal and plant life. Very clean on arrival and very good communication with the owner, no problems, wonderful holiday.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We enjoyed our stay very much. We love the special architecture!The kitchen and bathrooms are modern and useful. The livingrooms need some modernization (do it in style of the house). Some locks (frontdoor) need repair. Thanks we could stay in your house!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969big house with a large garden and 1 minute to the beach! 2 of 10 rooms are not really up to date, but ok. alltogether a perfect place for your holiday with the whole family!

Stayed Jul 22, 2017We had such a wonderful stay in this magical mairmaid house , so beautiful and special furnished, well equipped for all our needs, great kitchen, a cosy living room and nice and big places to eat in or outside. Our children enjoyed playing in the big garden during we had a wonderful sunbath on one of the terraces and so well placed, just some steps to the beach, which was so beautiful and large and not busy at all in summertime with lovely restaurants, we enjoyed our stay so much that we already make plans to come back next summer!

Stayed Apr 29, 2017This summer house in the dunes of Westerschouwen is unbelievable and is situated just near the sea. We had a lot of beautiful weeks here!!!
