LIVING AREAS:
The views really take the centre stage from anywhere on the property at any time of day, from pastel sunrises to inky night skies brimming with stars. Having said that, the interior of the villa are also beautiful. Neutral paint, furnishings and linens create a crisp and serene space. Splashes of ocean blues, greens and turquoises bring your stunning surroundings indoors.

Whale Watch starts as it means to go on, as you enter through large wooden doors into a little courtyard with stunning ocean views. The kitchen and living room are separated by a relaxed breakfast bar (with seating for 4) where you can sit and chat whilst cooking, and the kitchen is fitted with stainless Viking appliances making cooking at the villa a pleasure. The living room is comfortably furnished with squashy sofa and arm chairs and a Roku SmartTV and local FLOW cable. The kitchen and living room have plenty of ventilation, light and air with 2 walls of sliding doors (both glass and screened) which open out onto THOSE ocean views and a beautiful covered alfresco dining area. There are also powerful Hunter ceiling fans and the option of AC.

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS:
The bedrooms are accessed by exterior doors only, reached by a covered walkway from the front door.

1)The Primary bedroom is a few steps up from the main level front door and features a king bed with matching custom-built teak bedroom set, AC, an ensuite bathroom with shower and of course, unbelievable views. The glass sliding doors lead out onto a personal balcony overlooking the pool and the bay below. This is a truly magical spot to enjoy a morning coffee whilst watching the miles of glistening ocean ripples.

2) No arguing over bedrooms necessary as the second bedroom (accessed by a few steps leading down from the main level) also boasts a king-sized bed (that can be arranged as 2 twins), AC, ensuite bathroom with shower and glass doors that slide out out onto your own personal balcony. The views are just as dreamy from here too.

STEP OUTSIDE:
The fabulous covered al-fresco dining porch has a teak dining table and seating for 8 and a large propane grill (with rotisserie accessories and more). There is also 2 hammock chairs for chilling with a good book or cold drink.

The sun deck is truly gorgeous, with 2 cushioned loungers for catching rays on, a couple pop comfy bean bag chairs and a wonderful pool to cool off in. And all with a backdrop like no other. You can access the sun deck from both bedroom balconies, the main dining porch and steps from the courtyard.

PLEASE NOTE
NOTE: While we do accept children at Whale Watch you must know that there is no interior access between bedrooms, you must go outside under a covered walkway to reach either bedroom

NOTE: The road is a very bumpy dirt track and a 4WD vehicle is essential

SECURITY CAMERA: There's a ring camera above the front gate facing out towards the driveway for security purposes, it does not overlook any living area/porch

AC: There is AC & ceiling fans throughout

HOUSEKEEPING: is once every 5 days. All linen and towels will be changed and a general cleaning will be done. Daily housecleaning can be arranged at your own expense.

WIFI: There is Wifi

NEARBY
Whale Watch is located on the westerly hillside overlooking Brewers Bay on the North shore of Tortola.

BREWERS BAY (0.7 miles away)
Just under a mile away is Brewer's Bay - a quiet, tranquil white-sand beach with great snorkelling and Nicole’s Beach Bar.

MT HEALTHY NATIONAL PARK (1.6 miles away)
A 1 acre plot home to an 18th century windmill which was once used for grinding the sugarcane farmed from the steep slopes on the north shore of Tortola. An interesting and informative part of Tortola's history.

CANE GARDEN BAY (2.3 miles away)
Cane Garden Bay is a hub of nightlife with plenty of places to eat, drink and be merry. To name a few, there’s Indigo House, Myetts, Elm’s Beach Bar, Paradise Club and Quito’s Gazebo for eating and drinking right on the beach. Many of these also have live music nights and fun events.
Bobby’s Marketplace is just a few minutes’ walk away and has all the essentials for stocking up on groceries.
For beach activities, there’s plenty of places you can rent a lounger from (or just setup on the sand). The water is calm and clear and underfoot is sandy so it's an excellent place for swimming. If you're feeling adventurous, there is a shipwreck a very short swim out from the North end of the beach which is great to check out with a snorkel. There are also jet skis, paddle boards and kayaks which can be rented along the beach.
Callwood’s Rum Distillery is a great place to check out to see a local family business that has been running for over 200 years and to try some of their delicious tipples. *all these amenities mean that the cruise ship passengers come here, so look online for the BVI cruise ship schedule to avoid the busier days.

WINDY HILL (3.7 miles away)
Head to Stoutts Lookout for a chilled beer with an incredible view over the bay or Banakeet (Heritage Inn) restaurant for one of the best dinner spots to watch the sunset on island.

CARROT BAY (4.3 miles away)
A charming village where you'll find local fisherman, fruit stalls, North Shore Shell Museum and D’Coal Pot restaurant.

APPLE BAY (5.4 miles away)
A little village with world-class surf and a handful of bars and restaurants (Sebastian’s Seaside Grille, Sugar Mill, Tramonti) for all occasions.

ROAD TOWN (4 miles away)
Here, you'll have a choice of great restaurants, bars & coffee shops (Capriccio's, Lady Sarah's, Dragonfly, The Dove, Botella and Island Roots are some our faves), the Road Town ferry terminal which you can catch boats to Virgin Gorda & St Thomas, and plenty of shops for souvenirs (try Nutmeg & Co and EC Soap Co for locally made products and gifts). You'll also find our largest grocery stores here (Riteway Pasea Estate and OneMart Superstore) plus specialty food stores like Steakation and The French Deli.

This property is exactly as described. Quiet and remote. You definitely need a 4x4 because road to house is not paved. We enjoyed each day there while traveling to various beaches around the island. Pool has a swim flow machine for daily workouts. Communication was excellent! Would recommend to anyone that wants to distance themselves from the everyday hustle and bustle of daily life.

This property has some odd things about it. The overall setup is unique with the bedrooms being detached from the main living area and access to the property is down a difficult road but in the end its location is unmatched by any negative. We loved our stay at Whale Watch. The bedroom we stayed in (there are 2) was great. The AC worked well and the bed was comfortable. We never ran out of hot water in a shower but the hot water did tend to change temperature a bit on its own. The pool was in need of some work but it was clean. The grill worked great. The microwave was a convection oven and we used this to prepare a meal or two as the main oven didn't seem to work well. All other appliances worked fine. I do mention some negatives but just giving a full review for completeness as again the location and the view far outweighed the negatives. We would stay here again. It is quiet it is private and it was a great visit to Tortola staying at Whale Watch. The host was very responsive and led us to the home on our arrival meeting us at the ferry.

The view of the sea is amazing. Watching the sail boats going and coming from Anegada was fun. They were improving the gravel/dirt road during our stay much better but would still get 4wd vehicle. The villa is a little dated but still wonderful.

We very much enjoyed our 11 day stay at Whale watch. The Villa was clean and well appointed. The view was fantastic. The property managers, Sam and team were extremely helpful in helping with transportation and all other matters (e.g. groceries) before we got there. Pinky was great in giving us a ride to the villas upon arrival after there was a mix-up with the rental car that was my fault. Highly recommend. I'd give it 4 1/2 stars if I could. The only issues were that the swim machine wasn't working and the gas grill did not work well and should probably be replaced or at least fixed. But these were not major issues. The pool was great. We enjoyed it every day. Kitchen was well stocked. The dirt/rock road to the villa is quite challenging and not for the faint of heart but that's not their fault, just wanted to mention it. We used the 4 wheel drive function only once when it was raining. It was nice that there were beach chairs, umbrellas and even a few noodles that we took full advantage of. Check out Smugglers Cove beach. It was our favorite beach. Rough road but worth the effort. Bananakeet was a good restaurant with a fantastic sunset view. Overall, as mentioned, we enjoyed the Villa, the view, and the privacy of the Villa. Great Place.

Such a beautiful property and we were able to stay in direct and quick communication with the property manager which was useful! Driving to the property can be difficult- recommend a 4 wheel SUV!

Gorgeous from the minute we walked through the entry from the driveway. Beautifully decorated, more than enough kitchen supplies, comfy beds, spectacular views. Plenty of lighting, always felt safe. Used the grill for a couple of dinners, perfect! Sharlene showed us around, made sure our provisions arrived, and greeted us at the ferry to show us to the property. Couldn't ask for anything else, can't wait to return!

For our family, mom dad and 2 adult children, Whale Watch was the perfect size. We stayed for 10 days and we’re so sad to leave. The views of Brewers Bay are amazing! Brewers Bay is a hidden gem of a beach! Nicole’s is a nice beach bar/grill where Jennifer will serve you with a smile. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is a must, and the roads are exciting, but manageable. Whale Watch is just what a tropical paradise should be: comfortable and stunning at the same time as well as being tremendously private. The only sounds you will hear is the rush and gentle crash of the waves below.
