Stayed Jul 10, 2025Great stay at Mandevilla. Lovely situation up on the hills, the views were amazing. Steffan and Susanne were very responsive when we had any questions/queries, both pre and during our stay. A car is definitely needed up there. Check in process was easy, as was check out. Everything we needed was in the villa, next time I would maybe take my own beach/pool towels, but that is a personal preference. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed May 4, 2024Check in was simple and property manager called in following morning to check all ok. Property is well equipped and really feels welcoming. The garden is beautiful and there are many seating areas so possible to find sun or shade at any time of day Will definitely return.

Stayed Sep 2, 2022We enjoyed our stay, the house had everything we needed! It is looking rather tired both inside and the furniture outside but this didn’t detract from our stay. The biggest issue/irritating thing is the pool, it is surrounded by trees and most of them have pine needles and we had to spend 20 to 30 minutes daily cleaning them out and sometimes twice a day if there was a wind or the birds flew through the trees, we would have been much happier covering and uncovering the pool when we used it! Better instructions for the lights both in and outside the house would have been useful. We have also had local information ie Restaurants, beach's and places of interest that have been recommended but there was nothing like this, which was a real shame!

Stayed Aug 14, 2022Spacious house, inside and out, in a beautiful setting with views to the sea. A very relaxing environment. House had lots of facilities and everything that we needed to make us comfortable. The open plan rooms and huge patio doors throughout the property kept us cool. Kitchen was a bit tired and could do with a bit of a declutter and a deep clean, however this did not lead to any problems with pests and any equipment that we needed to cook with was available often in multiple! Providing some basic supplies and a brief introduction from the house manager was greatly appreciated.. Great location for exploring Northern Cyprus as well as local supermarkets, restaurants and beaches. We had a wonderful holiday and would recommend the house and the warmth and hospitality shown by the hosts.

Stayed Aug 2, 2022Our family (4pers) had a relaxing vacation of 12 days in this charming villa on the hills of Karaman/Karmi with fabulous view on Kyrenia and the Mediterranean see. The house is à bit older and needs here and there some ‘refreshment’ but it is spacious, has a nice garden and it is the perfect location to discover the North of Cyprus. We surely can recommend and we enjoyed our stay!

Stayed Aug 10, 2021We (three adults, one teenager) rented this property for two weeks in August 2021. The house is beautiful and spacious, and well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay - proper mattresses, kitchen equipment, garden furniture, tv, dvd, CD player etc. The garden and pool area are lovely and there are plenty of terraces to find a shady spot and a sea breeze. Lovely restaurant with fantastic views (Treasure restaurant) within walking distance up the road, supermarket a short drive down the hill. Very short drive to the sea and Kyrenia, Bellepais, Nicosia. Karaman itself is quaint and cute but the drive up to the village from the house is not for the faint hearted as the road is steep, curvy and narrow. We loved the house and the place and are hoping to come back. Can highly recommend this property. Top tips - 1. at times of COVID do your research re travel restrictions - at point of writing recommend flying into Larnaca as the flights to the North have a stop over in Istanbul (on red list requiring hotel quarantine on your return if you live in the UK) Cyprus is best for fully vaccinated travellers - in addition we needed PCR tests every 7 days to cross the border (£12 at Erduran laboratory on the way to Bellepais - taking approx six hours from test to result- fast and convenient, no appointment necessary - open seven days a week) There are only two car rental companies in the South that will allow you to take the car to the North - Susanne has the details. You will need to purchase additional insurance at the border (£35 for a month). We found this preferable to taking taxis as we had to cross the border a few times. Take the map the car rental company offers and Susannes way description to the property - we found our satnav and google maps did not work in the North. Getting around was fairly easy though with the map, and finding the house was straight forward. 2. Bring mosquito repellent spray. There are tiny mosquitoes in the area (known as sand flies) - not a problem if you use repellent, but they leave nasty bites if you don’t apply repellent that are very itchy and take much longer than normal mosquito bites to go away. They are active at dusk and dawn and don’t like wind - so switch on the ventilators! 3. Don’t believe the propaganda - we found travelling in both parts of Cyprus to be safe and easy (provided all your paperwork is in order) - people in the North were particularly friendly and helpful.

Stayed Aug 21, 2016We arrived at this villa to find it exactly as described and even better than expected. This is a stunning villa and has much more indoor and outdoor space than the photos suggest. We traveled as a party of three, however there is enough space for six adults with small children without feeling on top of one another. The booking process was easy and the owner quick to respond and very helpful. We arrived late at night to find lights on which was welcoming as were the supplies we asked for. This is a very well equipped villa with literally everything you will need including a good range of pantry items and is beautifully decorated to a high standard and was spotlessly clean. The upstairs bedroom is partly self contained and has a large outdoor seating area. This room is accessed from the outside therefore not ideal as a children's room as there is no access from inside the villa, but great for other adults or teenagers. We thought the lack of air conditioning would be a problem in August, however the design and hillside breeze helped keep it cool. The pool area is very secluded and not overlooked by neighbours and shade is provided by very tall trees although too much shade by late afternoon plus the trees do tend to shed a lot which requires sweeping numerous times a day. The location is peaceful, pretty and out of the way up a steep hillside therefore a car is a necessity, but there is a pub and restaurant within walking distance. This is a beautiful villa with great views and we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it.
