Villa with swimming pool a few km from the sea Selinunte

My husband and I finished our Sicilian experience in Partanna. This house was in an ideal locations to visit Western Sicily. It is near the highway for easy access and very private. We enjoyed meeting the owners and were very grateful for their generous welcome basket. We really liked the pace of Western Sicily and this area and house truly capture the Sicily we imagined, Mille Grazie!!

Our hosts welcome was as abundant as the contents and facilities in their lovely house , there was quite simply nothing more we could have wanted . Everything in the house works and the the description is completely accurate. The hosts are both generous and charming and clearly take a lot of pride in their property and what they offer . You do inherit a rather cheeky cat which was soon won over with a few tasty leftovers. The pool area is perfect and immediately next to the house and the only sound to be heard is the next bottle of excellent Italian beer being opened. This is the perfect location to day trip all the superb classical sites in western Sicily. There are a number of supermarkets near but you are off the tourist trail and there is very little English spoken but the locals are only to happy to enter into a bit of mime and gestures to get the message across. We had a perfectly perfect 10 days at Villa Partanna

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Villa Partanna and the hospitality was outstanding. Everything that you would expect and more was provided. We were in constant communication with Fortunato and the Madonia family couldn’t do enough to help. We asked if it would be possible to have a fan for the smallest bedroom and one arrived within ten minutes. Another day we couldn’t find any charcoal in the local supermarkets and asked where we might be able to buy some. Instead of telling us where we could buy some Mr Madonia turned up the same evening with 2 bags of charcoal. There is lots to see and do in the surrounding area and some excellent restaurants. Again Fortunato was very helpful with recommendations. I cannot recommend Villa Partanna highly enough. Our only suggestion would be to have a visitors’ book so guests can share ideas of where to go and what do do. Thank you for a fabulous holiday in this beautiful area.

A big thank you to our hosts Fortunato and Mr & Mrs Madonia (Fortunato’s parents). We were met exiting the A29, this is the motorway from Palermo airport (takes approx 1 hour) and escorted to the Villa. On arriving the Villa was exactly as it was in the pictures. Mrs Madonia gave us a hamper that had essentials in and we were shown around the Villa. The Villa is rurally located, so a car is a must, however is is ideally located for day trips. It takes about 20 minutes to Mazara de Vallo (costal town), Partanna has everything you need - supermarket, chemist and restaurants. As for the Villa it had everything and anything you need. It is extremely quiet with no one overlooking you. The pool was clean and cleaned by Mr Madonia during our stay and is position perfectly to catch the sun all day. The is shelter from the shade which was great for the children. If I could pick anything out to improve the Villa it would be air con in the bedrooms upstairs as it gets really hot at night, however there was a number of fans to try and keep you cool. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Stayed in the Villa Partanna, 30/06/18 to 14/7/18 and loved every minute ,a really relaxing chilled holiday. Toni and Peira were excellent hosts, we had a pre-arranged meeting with them on the first day and was escorted to the property. On arrival Toni and Peira gave us a very informative tour of the property, Toni’s translating app to English on his phone was very useful. Thank You very much for the delicious welcome pack it was most welcome. We felt at home feeding the family cat, and the regular visits of Leila the family dog.The villa was very well equipped and the pool was lovely, the orchard and vegetable patch was most welcoming and delicious, especially the corn on the cob, zucchini and the local sweet red onions which are local to Partanna .Thank You again, Chow Chow and goodbye from Michael, Sandra, Adam and Dawn.????
