Stayed Jun 10, 2023The villa is very old but charming and has character. The land was large and open with beautiful sceneries and fresh air. The swimming pool is quite nice and inviting. There's also a large hot tub room. Loved the open concept of the kitchen/dining room. But there were some small issues that were the negative part of our vacation such as: one of the shower rooms is an open dwelling causing the water to splash all over the bathroom flooring and walls. Had difficulty communicating with the caretaker as well as the owner due to the language barrier. (Translation apps was a great tool to be able to convey any questions we had) The garbage cans were not large enough to accomodate garbage that was incurred for the week. The town of Radicofani is very nice and charming. We all loved the restaurants, grocery stores, a few gift shops. The people are very nice and friendly. The food was very delicious no matter what we ate nor which restaurants we ended up going to.

Stayed May 27, 2023We (6 adults, 3 children) stayed at Podere san Guiseppe in May 2023. The house is remote from the town of Radicofani which is about 5km away. The grounds are beautiful and are kept very nicely. The pool was very well looked after. However, it would have been polite to be informed beforehand that someone comes around to clean it at 8am every morning. Also, a different person came around unannounced occasionally to empty the bins. The kitchen & outside seating area is spacious and there was plenty of cutlery/plates/glasses for us. On the other hand there was no basic food. So make sure you bring even salt/pepper should you want it. A second set of keys would have been handy to make the stay a bit easier. The rooms & bathrooms were in good condition. The only thing we couldn’t get to work was the jacuzzi. A manual to the remote would have been handy. The water level made no difference, nor did a change of the batteries. We arranged with Guido to have a private chef cook with/for us one day. We can highly recommend it! It was lovely to get a deeper insight into the Tuscan cuisine & also get a few local tips on the side. Unfortunately we left with an annoyed feeling. We had asked about the check-out procedure the night before and it was agreed Paola would come over to do the electricity meter reading between 9:30-10am the next morning. She showed up at 8:30 while we were trying to have breakfast and finish packing. We felt rushed! It‘s just not what you need when you

Stayed Jul 16, 2022Beautiful location and fabulous scenery. Having air conditioning in every room made our stay so comfortable. The pool area is lovely with ample shade. The house is probably more suited to a smaller group as there isn't enough comfortable seating inside or loungers outside for ten adults. There was an issue with the jacuzzi which couldn't be resolved while we were there which was disappointing. Overall we had a wonderful time in this villa.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a fantastic holiday at Villa Giuseppe, the place is well equipped and very clean. The pool was perfect for relaxing by and cooling down in the heat. We organised for Nadia to cook one evening which was great. The villa itself is less than 10 minutes drive from Radicofani which is a small, classic Italian town, with a small number of restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries. Note that some of these close on certain days and during the day so it’s best to plan any large shops at one of the larger towns which are around 30mins away. Nadia and the team don’t speak very much English at all but we’re very helpful when we needed them and we managed to communicate what was needed. As an indication, our final check out cost was €275 for our group of 8 people, which covers electricity, tax and final cleaning charge. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone looking for a spacious place to relax and enjoy the Tuscan countryside (which here is more mountainous and farming than further north which is more rolling vineyards, but equally as beautiful). The towns of Pienza/Montalcino/Montepulciano are within an hours drive and great places to visit and taste some wines. We are only back a few days but already imagining our next trip back!

Stayed May 31, 2019A spacious and private property with stunning views over the valley! There are olive groves and grape vines surrounding the house and drive. The pool is generous in size and with a cooling relax area under an gazebo. The property comprises of a main house with 4 bedrooms - all good size. In addition, an annex with another two well sized bed rooms. It is very clean and furniture are in a traditional style that goes well with the house. The annex also has a Jacuzzi with a relax area which we didn't try. 5 min by car in to Radicofani which is a beautiful town, perfectly maintained and like a step back in time! I would recommend this property for a family or group looking for a calm relaxing holiday enjoying the pool and exploring the Italian countryside and villages.

Stayed Jun 11, 2017This is a beautiful, modern villa in the center of the lovely Val D'Orcia. We rented this property for three weeks for a rotating group of family and friends. It accommodated up to 11 of us comfortably. There are five bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. It has a pool, spa, washer, and spacious kitchen. The town of Radicofani is a short 10 minute drive away where you can get most everything you need, plus has a couple of good cafes and resturaunts. All the major cities in Tuscany are between 30 minutes and an hour and a half drive...but the drives are lovely, (some roads are curvy and narrow but just take it easy) and the A1 is 12 miles away in Chiusi ( where you also can get trains to Rome, Florence, etc). It's a quiet place to enjoy a Tuscan vacation. I would recommend that you consider arranging for local cooks to prepare dinner for your group at the villa. Quite simply two of the best meals I've had in Italy in over five visits. Thanks to Nadia, Anna, and Claudio, and the rest of the staff, for cooking the food, supplying us with linens and towels, and being available to help when we needed it (they are not onsite) Guido, who is the overall property manager, was always responsive by email and in making arrangements. Book with confidence. Electricity is charged at .50 euro a kilowatt hour and the cost can get expensive if you don't watch your usage. We had 8-11 people using laundry, spa, pool, etc and all that takes power! This will generally be true at any villa you rent. I would return to this place again..and may do that one day.
