Villa with pool near the beach

8 of us shared this lovely villa. It had everything we needed. Plenty of inside and more than enough outside space. Cleanest pool we have had in a villa. So close to Moraira takes about 10mins to get to the beach bar and town.. Any family will love it. Great communication with Serge. Nothing was a problem. If there’s up to 8 of us another we would book again.

We stayed at Serge's lovely villa for a week in June and had a great time. The party was 6 adults and one infant, age range 1-68 and the villa suited us all very well. The main attraction is the pool area and terrace, which are fantastic and somewhere you could spend a whole day in the brilliant weather. Due to the hot weather, walking 15 minutes to the beach during the day was not possible for us so we ended up taking the car. The nearest supermarket and pub are 10 minutes walk away.

The villa is a real mixed bag.... on arrival our initial feeling on going inside was disappointment as the villa was dark and musty smelling. We could tell that cleaners had been but most of the rooms need updating and were a bit grubby - just a coat of paint would make all the difference. We found the bed linen to be fine although the towels are a little thin. Once we had the windows/doors/shutters open for a couple hours the improvement was tenfold ! The outside area's are fantastic and we used the pool and bbq constantly. Serge is a really great host to deal with, prompt to reply and he graciously took on board our comments and has confirmed that they are in the process of doing the villa up - I believe him as he has been straightforward and honest the whole time. Everything you could need is in the villa from the kitchen equipment to laundry baskets and inflatables for the pool - we rent often in Spain and Majorca and would say this is the best equipped we've come across. Moraira itself has many restaurants ( must try Vespa and Vista Ifach but dont bother with Meson El Pou!!) and bars within 10 minutes walk of the villa and the town has a great feel to it despite us being there at the end of the season. We LOVE El Portet beach but the main beach in Moraira is great too. There are waterfalls, caves etc nearby and so many coves with beach bar restaurants within 15/ 20 mins driving - try Mandalay beach bar and Algas beach bar ! I would say that at the end of the season there's not much for older teens ( we had 2 x 19 year old girls & 23 yr old son) but Xavier has lots if you dont mind a 15 minute drive/ taxi ride. By the end of two weeks we all loved the villa and the town and any downsides seemed to have disappeared completely! Thank you Serge and hope to visit again !

The outside space is excellent apart from there aren't enough loungers for the number of people the property holds. The pool was fantastic and was cleaned 4 times in the fortnight we were there. The villa is just the right distance out of the town centre so that the walk back after food and drinks wasn't too far. The kitchen was well equipped although we had to clean some of the utensils before using them and we found other peoples food and condiments left behind. That's the good news, the bad news is there is only one key to lock the property and that key is used in the front door, back door and all patio doors. As we were 2 separate families this was a problem on some days. You are essentially the cleaner for the next people staying in the villa as you have to sweep the outside area and clean inside before your deposit is returned. Having stayed in a number of villas we've also had a cleaner attend on the middle weekend, this didn't happen here. You can't use all of the air con units at the same time otherwise the electricity cuts out. The en-suites need renovating. The hot water comes from a hot water tank so as soon as one person has had a shower the hot water is diluted with cold so we found only 2 out of 8 people could have warm showers. The bedding wasn't the cleanest compared to other villas we've stayed and the bundle of towels we paid for, which we had to clean ourselves, was a bit expensive. There are no photos of the twin bedroom on HomeAway and it became apparent why when we arrived as it's tiny. Too small for 2 teens. We would definitely return to Moraira as the town has a vast array of restaurants and bars but this villa would need some money spent on it before we'd consider going back.

The location and pool area was great. Inside the villa was very tired. Dont know why they had kitchen unites in one of the bedrooms. Also the shower in the same bedroom had a lot of black mould around the doors. There was chairs and a setee inthe bedrooms which were not needed, and no draws. The bedlinen and towels (which we hired) need to be replaced, so do the pillows. They were awfull we went and bought new ones. There was no prperty manager. We only saw the the pool man

Serge has been so very helpful from start to finish. Always replies promptly and a pleasure to deal with! The villa is very conveniently located just an easy stroll to many shops, bars restaurants to suits all tastes. We travelled with children and teens, everyone was well catered for. The villa is very well priced. It was clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. The outdoor space is fantastic! The pool area and bbq were both great. The owners popped over with inflatables for the children and a parasol for the beach which was a lovely touch. Our security deposit was returned in record time! All in all highly recommend. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Thank you Serge

On arrival at the property we were impressed by the outside of it but then slightly disheartened as it was very dark on the inside and had a very musty smell to it and could probably do with a little updating, however the main bathroom and upstairs bedroom seemed quite modern so maybe it is in progress. The outside of the villa is beautiful and to be fair had everything we needed - lots of garden furniture and a beautiful pool which was cleaned weekly. The bbq area is ideal and there are lots of terraces but we only ever needed to use the pool terrace. The kitchen was very well equipped too although we needed to wash most things before first use. There are a number of steps leading to the front door and also from the kitchen to the pool area which were not a problem to us at all but my father has walking difficulties and he really struggled so spent most of his time outside the kitchen so please take this into consideration if going with older people. The villa is in a lovely location and close to supermarkets, restaurants and the town centre, and there is a beautiful beach about 30 mins walk away (there is one closer but we fell in love with one further away). The owner of the property was very communicative and responded to any problems very quickly. All in all it was a lovely relaxing holiday and we would definitely like to return to Moraira in the future. Thank you!

As a family of 8 (6 adults and 2 infants) this villa was in an ideal location as it is a very short walk to both the supermarket (5-10 mins) and Moraira town (10-15 mins). The garden is perfect with lots of space and a great pool with plenty of places to soak up the sun, but also plenty of shade. We spent most of our time in the garden and found it fine just what we were looking for. The villa itself is fine but is quite cluttered as we found a lot of furniture squeezed into some of the rooms where is wasn’t really needed and took up quite a lot of space. The kitchen and bathrooms could also do with a bit of an update, although perfectly functional as they are. The landlord is excellent! Very responsive and accommodating and has been a pleasure to talk to through the whole process.

A lovely villa, superb location being only a 10-15 minute walk into town was perfect. Fantastic pool, bbq and outside space, the best we have enjoyed despite travelling to Moraira for the past decade. Villa is clean and tidy and well maintained, inside areas are not huge but the four bedrooms were fine for our family holiday. Would have no hesitation in recommending this villa to others thinking of renting for a holiday.
