Villa with pool, 3 km's away from the sea, stunning 180° view on the sea

The villa was absolutely gorgeous. The view was as advertised and we felt safe at all times. However, there was a lot of garbage everywhere and other villas in the area looked unkempt or totally abandoned. That said, the pool was always nice and cold when you needed a cool down from the hot Sicilian sun (not heated) and we always kept the bedroom air conditioned so we had a comfortable place to sleep. We were not told that we only had 100 kilowatt hours for the week when we booked so that was a bit of a surprise. So budget your AC and lights on/off accordingly. Also, when you google map the place it will take you to the address but it is actually much farther up the road. Go all the way to the end and it’s on the right. It was close to the airport (15mins) and Palermo (20mins) but I would avoid that city if you want to keep your sanity. But I recommend this property and would go back given the chance.

Beautiful home in Carini Great host who was super helpful with everything!

As everyone else has said, this is a pretty nice villa with a nice pool. On the whole, I can’t complain about the villa itself, and agree with all the positive things said. However, there are a few minor downsides which would stop us from personally booking again (some of these are totally out of the owners control, and in by no means a ‘criticism’, more an observation). We were limited to 85kwh ‘for free’ for 5 nights. We used 83kwh but only used the washing machine 3 times (on the cheap rate), dishwasher once and the aircon for 20 minutes. I understand it is to prevent people leaving the aircon on 24/7, but I think the house passively uses pretty much all of the free electricity. There is nowhere to ‘walk’ to from the villa. It is surrounded by other gated villas, and you will need a car to go anywhere (no local shops/restaurants/community etc). Having said that, if you just want to hang out at the villa and not go anywhere, it is perfect for that. Lots of dogs barking in the neighbourhood. The pool loses the afternoon sun quite early (6pm in June). The en-suite shower was so scaled up we all ended up using the other shower as the water flow wasn’t good. We didn’t realise until the first day that check-in was expected to be at 4pm (we have always done ‘self check-in’, so this is our fault!). Unfortunately, this ruined the plans for our day as we had to cut them short in order to get there to meet the owner. Honestly, a great villa, despite the negative observations.

At the end of April/beginning of May, the three of us spent a lovely and relaxing week in this beautiful villa. Every morning began with a jump into the (very) cold water of the pool. At night, we missed a warmer duvet. The view during the day and in the evening was simply fantastic. Communication with Paola was uncomplicated and very nice. We felt very comfortable.

We have had a great time. The house was perfect for a group of 6 adults. The cleaniless was good, but good be better in some bathrooms, for us it was ok anyway ? We would come back.

Wonderful home with spectacular views in the small town of Carini. We enjoyed the peaceful nature of the property and wonderful pool to cool off. Nino and Paolo were amazing hosts with timely communication and great ideas for local attractions and restaurants. We fell in love with Sicily and hope to come back soon for another family vacation.

Amazing place, amazing food, amazing drivers !

The host and hostess were very welcoming, caring and helpful! The villa is very close to the Palermo airport which is a huge plus! It is convenient to many different areas of Sicily. I recommend getting a rental car! However, the train station into the city of Palermo was very close by so we chose that instead of trying to park in the city. We enjoyed the Old Town area of Palermo. We also went into Trapani, Castellammare del Golfo, Terrasini, Archeological Park of Selinute, etc! Food shopping is also very close. Some lovely restaurants in the Carini area. The neighborhood where the villa is located is a residential area, with many villas being refurbished. You will see the beauty of the view when you enter the home., which is gated and secure. The villa itself was beautiful and clean, just as the pictures show, and the view was worth every penny! I couldn’t take enough pictures. The sunrise was incredible. We even took a road trip about 2.5 hours from the villa to Mount Etna. We couldn’t do as much as we wanted as there had been a small earthquake and eruption, but we were able to take a quad ride on the volcano! The people of Sicily were the best party of the trip. They are warm and welcoming. My son has food allergies and they were very diligent and helpful to us. The weather was unseasonably rainy when we were there but it didn’t stop us. The villa and location was perfect for our stay in Sicily, the owners were very friendly checking if all was ok. It is 10 minutes away from the airport, beautiful quiet location. Would definitely recommend and would definitely like to go back.

Communication was great ahead of check in and check out. Fantastic amenities to the home and beautiful features. Excellent location with incredible views and nice pool.
