Villa with exclusive swimming pool 5 minutes from the sea

Elio our host met us at the villa on our arrival. Greated us with a coffee and lovely ice creams, made us feel very welcome and showed us arround. An excellent host! We loved our stay at the villa, pool cleaned 3 times during our stay. Very well equiped with a stunning sea view. This property is fairly remote without a car, and no walking access to the beach or rail station. We did however have a very reliable and available taxi driver which allowed us to have outings to Palermo and cefalu by train, which was a good service and on time . Would definitely return !

My 5 friends and I had a week holiday here after finishing our degree. The villa was stunning inside and out; Elio the host clearly takes some much care and pride with every part of the property. The pool area is the highlight of this place as it is up some steps surrounded by a beautiful garden with sea and hill views, and the pool is massive! The outdoor kitchen is very well equipped and we spent many evenings cooking together and drinking sicilian wine. Elio whatsapped us everyday to check in and would come every other day to water the plants and clean the pool, he would bring us treats and was very accommodating to our dietary requirements! We had an electric hire car and he and offered a charging cable for it, he thought of our every need. While in Sicily we went to Palermo (once by train, you can walk to the train station but the way home is all up hill), Cefalu, went to le tre pisicine, hired a boat near Mondello, and generally explored Altavilla Millicia (lovely friendly local shop and wine bars). On arrival we paid a damage deposit of 240 euros and he also said the electric wasn't included in the price of the villa so be mindful of that if you are planning on running the AC. Overall can't recommend this place enough, we already miss it.

We had a wonderful stay in Sicilly. The house and Pool were fantastic. Elio was a great host. He was very attentive and brought us a variaty of nice Sicilian specialities. The house is spacious and kept very clean. The outside kitchen was a fun and sociable place to cook together. The pool and the pool area are a nice place to sit and relax. We all enjoyed swimming in it. The kids had alot of fun in the pool. We went on a few day trips to see some of Sicily's temples/churches/ towns and beaches. We would recommend staying here if you were thinking of going to Sicilly.

A wonderful week’s holiday in a beautiful, large villa. Exceptionally clean and extremely well equipped. Nothing was too much trouble for our host Elio. The pool was fantastic. Village was 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive. Train station 25 minute walk but a lot of it was not on pavement but very handy for day trip to Palermo and Cefalù

I went on holiday to sicily with my husband son and daughter in law, we stayed at villa ficodindia at altervilla milicia. It was a lovely villa with beautiful gardens very clean. The swi ming pool was well maintained by elio himself . We cooked in the outside kitchen which was well equipped. Elio and his wife were brilliant hosts welcoming us on the day . Nothing was too much trouble and they kept in touch to make sure all was well . There were other touches very nice thoughtful touches ( little surprises) which we found very thoughtful. If I went back again we would definitely stay at the lovely villa ,and the owner elio and his family were just as lovely .thank you elio for a wonderful time at your villa.

We could not offer a higher recommendation for a vacation villa than we do for Villa Ficondindia. Elio was a tremendous host and surprised us with treats during our entire stay. I won't say more about that so I don't ruin the surprises. It was quite hot while we were in Sicily so having the pool with a covered seating area with a view of the sea and constant breezes countered any concern that we had with the heat. The presence of a lovely grassy area surrounding the pool was also very nice for our dog that accompanied us on our visit. Also, having a bathroom and an outside shower next to the pool was great. While we didn't cook while we were there the presence of both an inside and outside kitchen area seemed splendid for those that want to do so. The villa has an unusual location near a cemetery but is very secluded in a delightful location once you arrive at the villa itself. The villa is also within walking distance of Nicola's butcher shop and restaurant and other places offering great street food and fruit. The villa is also very secure with a gated entrance with space for parking inside the gate. Personally, I didn't see a need for extensive security in the neighborhood in which the property is located but having the security should lessen any concern guests might have in that regard. While we did not personally see this as any negative it is important to know that the villa and grounds are not particularly conducive to persons with physical disabilities as the pool is on an upper level reached by a pretty stone and tile walkway and with the bedrooms on an upper level. One should also be aware that the deposit needs to be in cash to be paid upon arrival or shortly thereafter so be prepared so that you are not surprised by that requirement. Overall, this villa was the highlight of our all to brief stay in Sicily. Thanks Elio!

Fantastic Villa with a Hugo pool and garden in a non-tourist village with lots of nice people, restaurants. The host, Eli and his wife is extremely friendly and helpful.
