    An old villa on a big plot with a great terrace and garden in a quiet but convenient spot in VDL. The house really would benefit from being updated throughout. The kitchen is fine but the bathrooms which were poor last year, were really not great and we had some plumbing issues. To be fair to the managing agents oceanos, they fixed them promptly. Thank you to them. The pool has a few missing tiles but is a great size. Summary not in great condition but has a certain charm and we had a great week.

    A family of 5 adults ages from 62 - 25 who have stayed in many villas in Vale Do Lobo over the last 10 years or so. Pros of the Villa - Large pool and grounds. Good location. 15 mins walk to the Praça (not 5 as stated by the management company). Well equipped kitchen. Large Samsung fridge freezer which worked well. Spacious living and dining area. Lots of sun loungers and outside seating area which were in good condition. Cons - The swimming pool has many missing tiles both on the sides and the floor which resulted in a few minor cuts to feet and hands on some of us. The tiling around the pool has also seen better days with cracks and crevices in it. The hot water in the main bedroom ran out after two days which meant we had to shower in the other bathroom. This bathroom had an ill fitting shower screen which meant that the floor flooded after every shower. The air conditioning unit in one of the bedrooms didn’t work at all. There were no cleaning cloths or cleaning materials provided to clean up after eating and cooking. Not sure if this is mentioned in the villa details but it’s not suitable for wheelchair users or the infirm as there are lots of steep steps to the pool area.

    The villa has a fantastic garden, pool and terrace areas. It is brilliantly located in a quiet street near everything. The rooms are all spacious and the a/c (bedrooms only) works well. The kitchen appliances have been updated. The only criticism is that that the bathrooms are tired and would benefit from being updated but this did not detract from a wonderful family joliday!
