Villa Tropica - Near Grace Bay Beach - Newly Remodelled

This house met all our needs but fell a little below our expectations. It was functional but not as luxurious as expected. It was clean, fully equipped but felt a little basic. Communication was excellent and we really appreciated some added gestures such as Emilys advice on arrival, sandwiches delivered on our day of departure and the small electric bill was waived. The availability of the car was a huge bonus and we used it at least twice daily. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool area - definitely the highlight of the house. The outdoor eating area looked beautiful but was unfortunately too buggy to enjoy. The house was a little rough around the edges in places for the price paid - unfinished paintwork, basic decor, cheap drapes, plastic seating in the kitchen. But it was clean and had everything we needed for a self catering stay. We just expected a higher end feel.

We had a great stay. The hosts were responsive. Some things weren’t clean when we checked in and they came back to take care of the two issues we noted at that time. For that we are grateful! The grounds were like our own private jungle. The pool was clean and warm. It was handy to be able to rent a car directly from the hosts. The beach walk was as expected and it was a nice little quiet beach with beautiful water and sand.

Our group of 8 had an amazing time here! They provided a case of water and light toiletries in the starter kit. Plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc. were included. The beach was a pleasant 10 min walk or 2 min drive. We even did a snorkeling excursion where they picked us up on our beach. The property was beautiful. The palm trees and landscaping made it feel like we were in our own little oasis. It gave plenty of privacy from neighbors. As we were leaving we got a knock on the door with a delivery of subs from the property manager, which a nice surprise! Overall we had a 10/10 experience and would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place to stay! The host and entire staff were wonderful, the communication and response was easy and fast! Beautiful pool, and house was very clean and beautiful!

The house was perfect for our large group to enjoy comfortably. The garden is a beautiful oasis and pool was perfect for cooling off or swimming. Emily helped us settle in and shared excellent tips of places for us to enjoy the island. We could not have asked for a more hospitable host.

Very close walk to Pelican Beach and close to Grace Bay. Emily was a very attentive and friendly Host. House covered all of ours needs.

Dang was very responsive to our questions before arriving and Emily was warm and helpful during our stay.

The overall house was nice inside, the outside of the home wasn’t not well maintained. The area around the pool and the pool itself do not reflect what is shown in the pictures online. The 5th room upstairs had no working WiFi to accommodate my guest staying in there. So they had to come downstairs to make calls, watch television ect. The bathroom toilets had trouble flushing in the master bedroom and the bathroom right off the kitchen.

I would definitely stay at this property again, the house was very Clean, accomadated all 8 of my guest. Plenty of space, the pool was amazing and the host was very attentive. I would give this house a 10 out of 10

We stayed at Villa Tropica for 10 nights with another family and the Villa was fantastic! Home was huge inside and out, with lots of room for 2 families with boys, there would have been more than enough space for even another family. It had everything we needed and the location is great, within walking distance to the beatiful Pelican Beach. There was even a game room with ping pong table not mentioned in the description.We had some minor issues that were out of the control of the owner and management team, and they were able to take care of them right away. The A/C unit in one room and Wifi went down during our stay and they had the AC replaced and Wifi fixed within hours, so they are really on the ball.The Villa also has 2 Hyndai SUV vehicules available at an extra charge, we used both of them and they were perfect for getting around the island.Thanks again to Dany, Emilie and also Bob the owner, next time we come to Turks, we would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at Villa Tropica and had a decent overall experience, but several issues made the stay less than ideal. The biggest ongoing problem was the flushing issues in both master bathrooms. While the property manager did try to address it multiple times, it was never resolved during our stay. The listing mentioned bikes and a hammock, but neither were there. There were also a number of smaller concerns that added up: the pool lights couldn’t be changed, one shower had a leak and couldn’t be used, and another had a poorly designed shower curtain/door that left the floor soaked every time. In the master, there was no niche or shelf for soap in the shower, and the hand shower knob was missing. The game room has a sofabed and ping pong table but no fan or a/c making it hard to use On a more positive note, the landscaping, which was initially in rough shape, was cleaned up mid-week, and they did provide new beach umbrellas when we reported the old ones were broken. Still, most of the beach chairs were torn or broken.With some maintenance improvements and attention to the details listed in the description, this property could live up to its potential.

Villa Tropica was in a wonderful location, close to many excellent restaurants and shops. The villa is very spacious and comfortable, and is in a gated area which felt very safe. The kitchen was well equipped and the owner/manager were very gracious and accommodating when we needed to ask for additional towels. Emily was very thorough in explaining that the electricity is expensive and how we could control having additional charges. The pool area was a big hit with us and the beach chairs and towels provided were a great help for enjoying the beaches that were close by. We would definitely rent Villa Tropica again if we are lucky enough to return to Turks and Caicos!!

We had a fabulous week at Villa Tropica. Dany was very responsive any time I had a question. He also allowed us to drop off our suitcases before check in. Emily was fantastic. She did a great job during the check in process and was very responsiive during our stay. She went above and beyond as our daughter left her childhood blanket when we checked out. This was a very sentimental keepsake. Emily reached out to the cleaning crew and found it. She also sent it to us via FedEx. We booked this beautiful villa last year to accommodate our family- 3 couples and an infant who were traveling to Turks for a family wedding. The nature of our group led me to many questions and each one I asked Dani answered quickly and completely. We arrived a little bit earlier and he waived the rules to allow us to check in a half an hour earlier. When we got there, the property was as advertised- maybe even better! It felt very spacious, both inside and out. There was a lovely pool with plenty of lounge chairs and a covered table for outdoor dining (if you don't mind bugs, which are certainly to be expected). Inside was well appointed with everything that one would need for a tropical vacation. We felt very safe in the house and the neighborhood and when a few very minor things did come up, Emily and Dani were very responsive. It is a short walk to a beautiful beach, though with the baby, we spent more time at the pool. My brother also rented a villa through VRBO which did not live up to expectations (or as advertised) and we asked Dani if he and his family could move in. Again, Dani and Emily were immediately responsive and receptive to the idea and my brother's family vacation was salvaged. We had a great time and would go back in a heartbeat and are very grateful that we were able to take advantage of that little piece of paradise. Thank you again!

Overall stay was great. Very Clean and Open and bright.Quiet area which was perfect for our family. I highly recommend walking (very short walk) to sunset beach..2 blocks. Very safe area!

The overall stay was good, location, and space. Emily was absolutely Great and very responsive and so was Dany.

Very nice property with all the amenities that you’re looking for. Three minute walk to the beach and 5 min drive to where all the action is. Only downside for our trip was that the cable did not work all week and the wifi would cut out frequently.

Let me start by saying we had an amazing visit to Turks.Villa Tropica was spacious and comfortable. The location was ideal. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. The outdoor area was lovely and serene. All the beach amenities, the chairs, umbrellas and towels were in excellent condition and the Leeward community was beautiful.Upon our arrival there were some significant plumbing issues. Emily the house manager was very responsive and had them addressed as quickly as possible. She was very accessible. The house itself is not exactly as depicted in the photos on VRBO. While there have been many updates, it could use a little TLC, but none of which impacted out stay. It is a good house for a large group and the beautiful beach is so close as well as the Blue Haven Marina which had a lovely cafe', perfect for morning coffee and croissant and lunch.

I’ll start with the ups. When we checked in Emily met us and went through the house. We rented the car through the owner and all was as advertised. The house has large and could hold all of us with no problem. There was a full size crib as advertised. The pool was clean. The group was responsive to texts through what’s app. Now the downs. The AC in the upstairs bedroom was rigged and had to be turned on with the circuit breaker and the remote didn’t work. Another reviewer mentioned this months ago. Well - The unit didn’t work at all. I was told it worked fine for the last person. The positive is the owner did get on it and replaced the whole unit that now works and has a remote. The powder room toilet by the kitchen was iffy. It would run constantly if you didn’t go and jiggle the handle every time. The shower in the jack and Jill bathroom flooded the floor every time it was used (mentioned in a review from months ago). The updates look nice enough on the web site but the craftsmanship is terrible. Paint job is terrible. The kitchen cabinet knobs are all falling off. A curtain rod fell on my daughter’s head when she was closing the cheap curtain. Everything was done very cheaply. But what was the most upsetting was the active water leaks in the house. The playroom was gross and had black on the ceiling (I m guessing black mold but I can’t confirm) and an active and constant drip of water from the ceiling. The owner waived the cleaning fee and electric fee which was nice.

My family and I stayed for seven days at this beautiful home. The host was very accommodating and had great communication. We had wide range of needs as we had a one year old toddler to a 80-year-old grandmother. The home is at advertise we had an overall great day. Location was near site we wanted to visit. And the neighborhood felt safe.
