Villa Smeralda, large pool and garden, stunning view of the Archipelago

Even though the photos of the house and its garden and pool are lovely - the IRL experience exceeded it by far. The location of the house is perfect - very close to a breathtaking lookout point of the whole village and port of Palau. Very short distance to supermarket, restaurants and tennis courts. The house was amazing. Perfect in all aspects for a great family vacation. We were two families with two adults and two children in each - still the house was VERY spacious and plenty of room for everyone getting some space, but also great for socializing. Very well equipped kitchen, nice linens and sheets and generous amounts of towels. ALOT of effort and love are put into details to delight guests - such as shading curtains around the outdoor dinner table for instance. The communication with property owner as well as hosts was very smooth and proactive. We have rented houses several times before and always encountered small issues - be it electricity, air con or other matters, but this time there were NO issues at all. And whenever we had inquiries, the response was within minutes. Would absolutely recommend this house to families with kids who are looking for a chilled, relaxed vacation. Beautiful beaches are not far away, there are many great options for eating out within short distance - and many great places to explore nearby. The whole of Maddelena archipelago just outside the coast for instance. A true 10 out of 10 for this house - even a great delight for the kids to find turtles out in the nature and in the beautiful garden. Thank you for a great holiday experience!

We had a fantastic stay in Villa Smeralda during a week in March 2015. We were eleven persons - seven adults and four kids. The house is located in a peaceful area with a very nice view, less than three kilometers from Palau, where you can do all your shopping and go to restaurants. The house is modern, spacy and very nice. Every room has a separate bathroom and toilet. The beds are in perfect condition, as everything else. The big pool is very nice, especially loved by the kids :-). The area around with a lot of beaches and fantastic water are perfect for small excursions.

We had a wonderful stay at the villa, thank you. The views are stunning and we had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. All the facilities were excellent - we made good use of the pool, the ping pong and the fantastic barbecue and it was very nice to receive a warm welcome from Pietro on arrival. Overall the service was very friendly and responsive. If I was to recommend one thing it would be to show guests that the two switches behind the microwave control the fridge and dishwasher as it is quite easy to accidentally switch them off when using the microwave!
