VILLA SHAH a place to listen to the sea in Amalfi Coast

The hosts, Titti and Alfredo, are lovely, personable and engage completely when contacted. Alfredo, who is an architect, has transformed this inherited property (which sits on an outcropping of rock) into a what-can-I-do-with-this-space ensemble of function, fun and unusual. The incredible views are enjoyed from the outside spaces (which are many), not from inside the house. There are rows of gardens, both edible and aesthetic. The parking space is a very short distance from the almost hidden entry gate, which abuts up against the winding road from Amalfi, Praiano and Positano.

This was an amazing experience. The host and hostess were incredible, looking after our every need and greeting us as if we were family coming for a reunion. The Villa is spectacular in every way possible. You have to see it in person to truly understand the beauty.

This villa is a wonderful property. Very near Amalfi by taxi or your car. And walkable to Conca dei Marini to a great restaurant and beautiful church.

We were visiting the Amalfi coast to celebrate our daughters graduation from college, we wanted everything to be special for her and to say the Villa Shah exceeded those expectations is an understatement! First, the communication with Alfredo and Titti before arrival was just so nice, they answered every question quickly and helped us with suggestions to make our planning go smoothly! Never could we have imagined the delight of meeting these two incredible people! We felt immediately as if they were family not property owners! They made us feel so welcomed as we entered the gates, helped us after long travels get settled, bringing our luggage in and giving us a tour of this amazing property! The villa, the grounds, gardens, architecture, views, The Belvedere ( you have to go to know this special detail) the fridge completely filled w everything we could need or want…..we travel many places but never experience the kindness, genuine care and attention to details that we had at Shah!!! The mornings we had the most beautiful spot to sip our coffee and look out at the sea as the boats were starting the day. The evenings there were incredible especially the last one when Alfredo prepared a 12 course dinner for us! We were blessed with many amazing dinners during this week but none more delicious than what we enjoyed this evening!! I could go on and on…:) We simply can’t wait to return!!!

The architectural splendor of the Shah is remarkable. You will enjoy comfortable beds, luxury furnishings and an impressive chefs kitchen fully stocked. Titi and Alfredo were exceptional hosts. They greeted us with wine and snacks over looking the sea. Fresh organic produce and kitchen staples were all available in the refrigerator and pantry. They helped us navigate the island to explore and experience all of its beauty. Titi made us a reservation at a delicious restaurant on the water with a water taxi to and from the town of Amalfi so we could see the views from the water and tour the town. Our favorite place to spend time was on the terrace overlooking the water for sunrise and sunset. This place is exquisite and I would recommend visiting for your next trip!

We loved our experience at this beautiful property and unique home. Alfred and Titti touched our hearts and helped us have an experience that was miles above and beyond our expectations. First, our flight coming into Naples was delayed so we arrived at the Shah about 9:00 pm. Titti met us at the gate with a young man to help us find our accommodations, get our car situated and move all of our luggage up to the home. This was such a blessing given we had arrived after dark. Once we had a tour of the home and got oriented, Alfredo and Titti had set up a table on the belvedere with olives and proseco to help us transition. What a beautiful experience meeting them and have such great first moments in the Amalfi coast. It was now about 10:00 pm. Alfredo recognized that we had been traveling all day and he offered to make us a salad. We gratefully took him up on his offer. He made us a tomato salad from produce grown on his land. He also provided freshly baked bread. We just had tears come to our eyes for what wonderful people they are. This simple meal was one of the best things we had eaten all weak. Titti helped coordinate a day trip out on a boat for the day to see the coast and visit a number of amalfi coast towns. We also arranged for a tour of a lemon grove and cooking class. On our last day we had asked for help to arrange for a meal to be prepared in the Shah. Turns out the chef was Alfredo. It was our best meal of the trip. We love Alfredo and Titti.

Alfredo and Titti, Thank you so much for being such gracious and accommodating hosts! We are so grateful that you decided to share your special home with others. From the moment we arrived, you made us feel so welcome - like long, lost friends. It's difficult to describe The Shah, such a unique, and whimsical hidden gem nestled in the dense hillside of natural beauty with absolutely stunning ocean and coastline views. Alfredos' creativity, thoughtfulness and attention to detail can be felt throughout the home - from the entry gate to the ocean and everywhere in between, the energy in this home is... love. Titti's dedicated to ensuring our visit and experience were first class were not missed on us. As hosts, it's clear you are very proud of your culture, your property and it shows. Some of our favorite moments at The Shah were spent cooking with your home grown ingredients in the incredibly well appointed kitchen... Thank you! We also loved our quiet walks up the stone stairway into the small village to visit the quaint market and restaurant, away from the bustle of Amalfi. You have created such a special home and we will forever cherish our time spent here...

This is a beautiful property, inside and out, with wonderful hosts. You could fill a coffee book with photos. The interior is a unique and very attractive combination of contemporary chic and rockface, with many delightful touches like the undercounter aquarium in the master bathroom and the hidden spa bath under the master bed which glides aside. The exterior spaces include a beautiful stroll through a garden and a well-appointed patio, but the pièce de résistance is the clifftop lounging/dining area overlooking the coast and sea. It was magical. We could have spent all of our time there, but we broke away long enough for a short trip to closeby Amalfi and a walk to the beach. Finally, the hosts Alfredo and Titti were wonderful, welcoming us to their house (including prosecco and garden snacks on the clifftop) and making sure we had all we needed. We enjoyed a couple of bottles of their homemade wine and prepared meals using herbs and produce from their own garden, and on leaving they gave us some tasty parting gifts, including an excellent finnochietto made with their own fennel. It was the perfect way to conclude our honeymoon!

The Shah is absolutely stunning. Both the house and the outdoor areas provide so many beautiful settings to enjoy. Our hosts Alfredo and Titti were absolutely welcoming and hugely helpful with any arrangements we needed to make. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Lo Shah is a magical place and experience. We were 2 couples visiting The Amalfi Coast for a few days. Alfredo and Titti were wonderful hosts. Upon arrival, we sipped on champagne and enjoyed a lovely spread of snacks, which incorporated the tomatos and olives from the property’s organic garden. The property is vast, lush and serene, with a beautiful view of the sea. The villa is a work of art. It is literally built into the mountain with many walls of the mountain’s stone inside, yet all the comforts you can imagine and would want in an upscale villa stay. All the details are special and thoughtful. We were in awe of Alfredo’s vision and how it came to life. Simply stunning! Thank you for your gracious hospitality Alfredo and Titti!
