Villa Santa Cruz- Air-conditioned 10 bedroom pool house - Sesimbra Beach

18 of us stayed in Villa Santa Cruz, 13 adults and 5 kids. The villa was lovely and spacious, lots of bedrooms for us all. The kitchen was great, well stocked with all kitchen utensils, had 2 fridges, one for food and one for drinks, think another oven would have been a great asset for the size of the kitchen. The outside area was also lovely, lots of space for outside dinning. The pool was a good size, both kids and adults had a great time in it, especially as it was so hot the last few days. The only setback for us was there wasnt enough sunbeds, but there was plenty of chairs on the decking area. The villa supplied pool towels which was a bonus. The BBQ was great and got used a few times. Theres not much around the area, just a couple of cafes and McDonalds. You could get a taxi to Sesimbra town and beach which took about 10mins and cost on average Euros 5, there were plenty of Ubers. Sesimbra beach is lovely, the sand is soft and the water is clear and shallow. There are lots of lovely restaurants to choose from. The supermarket is only 10minutes walk away. Overall i would recommend staying at Villa Santa Cruz

We planned a 80th Birthday party for my wife and 14 family members. From day one we had problems with the electrical system on the property. First the wi-fi went down and then the stove and dishwasher. After that was reported we were instructed, over the phone, how to reset the circuit breakers for the house that had separate ones on each floor (not something that guests should have to do!). The owner's agents needed time to fix a circuit breaker so they told us to that the stove would be plugged into a hall socket whose circuit was not the right size for the stove therefore putting limits on the stove's use. We hired a private chef to cook a lavish Birthday Dinner for the 14 of us on the third day of our stay We were advised that everything would be fixed by dinner time. The chef came and was preparing the dinner when all of the electricity in the house went off. It was necessary for him to cook on a small charcoal grill outside that would only cook a portion of the meal at a time. As a result this Special Birthday Dinner was well below what the chef and we expected. The property is listed as accommodating 20 guests and we only had 14 yet we were told that there were restrictions on the use of the air-conditioning units in each room. The property is run by agents who are friends of the owners. When all was said and done and we tried to voice our concerns directly with the owners we were stonewalled in the process and never given that information.

A nice villa in an excellent location for all the excellent beaches, but in need of some upgrading. External Walls need painting, some of the bathrooms need updating and the dishwasher and toaster didn’t work. The owners did get someone in immediately to repair the dishwasher , but it still leaked when they had gone.

Villa was perfect for our group of 19 with different ages, the villa can use upgrades inside and outside, nevertheless we had a good stay during the week!

Ana and Antonio were incredibly helpful with setting up dinner, recommending things to do, and solving any issues we faced. The property itself was great for our group of 18, plenty of space and a cool fruit tree that you can eat! Will definitely be staying here again if I find myself in the Lisbon Area (40 min drive).

The place was tired and needs some money spending on it. It could be a lovely place. Ideal for large parties. The host was really great and very helpful. There is only 6 sun loungers for such a big villa. The place is looking run down and the bedrooms smelt damp. We also found several drawing pins on the floors and rusty nails. Not good if your bare footed. We made the most of it, despite the dogs barking next door all day and night. On a plus taxi prices were reasonable and Uber eats are a plus.

A great property for a big group and an even better pool. Had a brilliant holiday and Ana and Antonio were so helpful, made lots of things easier. Sesimbra beach was great in the day and lovely to walk along in the evening. Setubal also lovely place to visit for a dolphin boat trip! The only thing we would do differently is plan for transport. Hire a car or 2 perhaps. Über was widely available and came within minutes 90% of the time…. (Don’t go too remote on a sunday evening!) but the cost racks up if you’re going out a lot. Shop is close enough to walk but get a trip back if you have heavy goods. If you sort transport, it’s a fabulous place to stay. The pool and outside area is where we spent most of our time and it made for a great week. Thanks again Ana.

We were a group of 14 persons and were extremely happy with the home and the ammenities (many kitchen supplies) for cooking and dining together. The pool was a hit. Ana, our host, went above and beyond to help us with our questions and meeting us in person at the home for check-in. Wonderful host, lovely Region to explore and great beaches!

We had an amazing time here. Good location, with an easy short drive to beautiful Sesimbra and the surrounding beaches. Also only 30min drive into Lisbon. The villa was clean and spacious. All the rooms were of a good quality. The pool was very clean and warm. The kitchen was great for a large group. And lots of supermarket options nearby. Thank you to Ana for being such a great host!

Amazing villa, very spacious and spotless! Lovely decor. Location is a bit remote but the supermarket is a few minutes away and it was super easy to take a taxi wherever we wanted to go. Ana couldn’t have been more helpful, she was very keen to ensure our stay was perfect and was always on hand to answer any questions we had. Overall I would highly recommend- we had a fantastic time.
