Villa Pomalo in Zaton Veliki
Pomalo means to relax, no stress, slow down and it adequately describes this location.
Villa Pomalo is a newly renovated three double bedroom villa that also has an additional loft bedroom. It has four full bathrooms (I tub and three showers) a fully fitted kitchen with dining area, lounge with flat screen TV and seating area.
It has a private garden with swimming pool, BBQ area, pergola area with table and seating and a separate terrace area, it has private parking for three cars.
It is idyllically situated just two minutes’ walk from the beautiful Zaton harbour with its marina and swimming area, and five minutes’ walk to the nearest beach.
The harbour also has an abundance of excellent restaurants, a supermarket, post office, and a bus stop with buses into Dubrovnik and Lapad.
Whilst only an approximate 20 minute drive to Dubrovnik and Lapad Zaton is peaceful and serene, away from the hustle and bustle in town. You can relax or take scenic walks through the pine forest to inaccessible beaches and wonderful cliff top views over the bay to Lapad and the many islands.
Zaton is located within an approximate 35-minute drive to Dubrovnik airport, it is easy to get to and has accommodation and a location that are ideal for families and children.

Zaton is situated in a beautiful, natural bay surrounded by hills and only 8 kilometers northwest of Dubrovnik. This place can be reached by car or by boat only. It consists of two smaller villages/bays Veliki and Mali Zaton (Big Zaton and Small Zaton). Rich middle-class families living in Dubrovnik during the Ragusa Republic in the 15th century were already building their holiday or weekend houses in Zaton in the Renaissance style. In Zaton itself, there are a few small shops, a tourist information center, a couple of excellent seafood restaurants, bars, cafés, bakeries, and a post office. These 2 bays have several small, pebbled beaches. The most popular beach is located at the eastern end of the bay in the village of Stikovica.

We had a great stay in Zaton. The house is very comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring. The town itself is beautiful and peaceful, with several excellent restaurants nearby. We would recommend having a car, as it makes getting around much easier. There is a very narrow road leading to the area that can be a bit challenging for some drivers, but don’t worry—there is an alternate route that only adds a few minutes to the drive and is much more comfortable. One of the highlights of our trip was renting a sailboat for our group of eight at a very reasonable price. If you’re interested, contact Frano at Dubrovnik Sailing Tours. His number is plus three eight five, double nine, five nine four, eight nine eight eight. He took great care of us and picked us up directly from the marina, which is only about a 2-minute walk from the house. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking

Lovely villa in a beautiful village, a very short distance from the harbour and a very good restaurant. The pool is small but good for a quick dip, the garden is a bit overlooked, but as we stayed just before the season started, that wasn't a problem. The house is a good size and the kitchen is well-equipped. There is also parking at the house, but the lanes to it are very narrow and the turn into and out of the driveway is quite tight - nervous drivers beware.

Lovely villa with pool and garden in a fab location with amazing views Few minutes bus or car into beautiful Dubrovnik city Just be aware that in Zaton many restaurants and shops start to close for the season if visiting in October Plenty of wonderful restaurants still open in Dubrovnik though

A beautiful villa. It is stylish and clean inside and equipped with everything. The kitchen in particular is well stocked with everything you could need. The location is gorgeous, literally a minute from a beautiful harbour/small beach. We realised our boat trip to the islands picked up from Zaton too, saving a trip to Dubrovnik. Highly recommended!

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Everything was perfect. The location is ideal, right by the sea with a handful of restaurants and a bakery within walking distance. The outside space was beautiful, we loved the pool, the BBQ and the outside dining area. The garden is surrounded by lush plants and flowers and there is enough space to park a car. The bedrooms were clean and tidy and comfortable. Two have balcony’s with lovely views of the area. We very much appreciated that they were all air conditioned on especially hot days. We were supplied with enough clean towels for our 5 day stay. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a little supermarket 5min walk away. We swam in the sea every day. It’s worth investing in jelly shoes because it’s quite rocky underfoot. The supermarket is quite limited so it’s worth bringing everything you need for the beach with you. From the villa it’s a short taxi ride to the old town or the airport.

Great spot. A block from the sea, lots of comfortable beds, and parking for two cars. This place has all the things you will need. A well equipped kitchen, nice living room and many bedrooms. Loved our stay.

this is a beautiful house in a very tranquil setting. felt right and home and thoroughly enjoyed the house, pool and the little town. just for information, there are church bells that ring starting at 7am, could see that as being important if you have children, etc. There also must have been some miscommunication as the pool cleaner came twice during our stay (only 3 days) and bith times it was unannounced. still very much recommend this house and the small town it is in!

We loved the accommodation and great location. 5min walk to the bay and restaurants we used as a base and walked to local cafe and Uber to get about. Great local restaurant right on the water front. We got the end of the season so some restaurants and shops shutting down for winter.

We had a very good week in the charming village of Zaton Veliki. Nice house that was well equipped. Close to beautiful swimming spots, stone beaches and nature. Pool in the garden which were really good. We got quick help when it needed to be cleaned. Several good restaurants in the village and close to the bus stop to get into Dubrovnik. The only thing that surprised us was the church bell that rang every morning at 7am but it was quite charming!
