The property managers were a dynamic duo - attentive with lots of information on ways to make our holiday as enjoyable and memorable as possible. Truly felt like a home from home.

We thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic holiday at this lovely Villa. All the comforts of home were provided along with a fabulous heated pool. Excellent location on the west side of the Island allowed us to explore the many beautiful sites and beaches. Looking forward to visiting again soon! :)

Very Nice House in quiet and private surroundings. Jacques has been willing to respond quickly to a single critical issue with a faulty waterpump which is replaced following Day. The car jacques offered us to rent during our stay made exploring the Island and shopping much more convinient. Therefore we would recommend others to do the same. Transportation to and from the Airport has been arranged by Jacques and worked.

The house is great, the garden is well kept and the swimming pool was enjoyable. It’s perfect for a family get away. Very quiet at night for a good nights sleep. Really excellent value. A++

The compact but well maintained gardens and the swimming pool meant we spent more time outside than in our holiday villa!. The bedooms are very comfortable while the kitchen is one of the best equipped we have ever seen! Not that we did any cooking! The property is very private, and we were delighted at the variety of birds and colourful lizards and geckos seen in the grounds! The nearby restaurants are varied and excellent, hence no cooking, and there are two supermarkets within a short drive. Also within a short drive are public beaches with white coral sands. Black River is a good centre for visiting many of the island's attractions. Jacques and Josee are excellent hosts and while Josee cooks a terrific curry, Jacques dealt efficiently with any problems that arose, particularly after a power outage hit the district!

Our family of four, including two small children, stayed here for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hosts were welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The location is great - close to some great beaches and also to the mountains. Jacques and Josee were a fund of local knowledge and their connections were priceless for setting us up with affordable activity options. Highly recommended.

All rooms nicely decorated. A/C in all bedrooms. Wonderful housekeeper so we had our beds made and the kitchen spotless everyday . Great outdoor shower by pool for all that sand and salt water from snorkeling trips. Great drying space for all our clothes beach things. House felt safe and secure and private. The garden is lovely, so much colour. Absolutely everything we needed and a good place to stay in terms of nearby activities on the island with good tips for snorkeling and walking spots from our host

As hosts Jacques and his family were extremely welcoming and helpful. It is a lovely location for really feeling part of Mauritius.

I have stayed on Villa Paille en Queue 3 times in 24-27 Aug, 30-31 Aug, 5-6 Sep. I really glad that i choose this villa! The owner Jacques was very friendly and really good guy. He always help to spend our vacation, to choose good beaches, to find some interesting places. In the last day of our holidays he invite us in their home where his wife makes dinner. It was delicious. I glad to recommend this villa to everybody who wants to spend vacation on Mauritius. And i hope that we will come back on Mauritius in Jacques home.
