===== ACCOMMODATION DESCRIPTION =====
Villa Marina used to be our family house until 2016 when we all set off and decided it was time to give it a new life!
Named after my mother, Marina, the villas stands on a big land of 8 hectares with fields, fruits and olive trees.
The place is secluded and very quiet but also not far from towns which are only 6-7 km away.
The villa stands on a small hilltop, with a large covered patio in front of the house for outdoor dining. On one side a veranda, on the other side, a small annex with bedroom, kitchen and a bathroom with shower.

From any of the two doors, you will be enchanted by the size and beauty of this house. The interiors are original with red bricks archways and tall ceilings. Right between the two entrances a large and bright double kitchen: the classic one with all the kitchen furniture, fridge and stoves/oven and the old one with a wood oven and a marble top table for your home cook preparations.
From the kitchen, walking anticlockwise direction, a beautiful wooden table dominates the dining room where we used to gather with our family. The living room has a large chimney and several sofas with colorful pillows and paintings to watch TV or to read a book. You can access the patio from here: the perfect room to read a book watching the vivid green nature outside the glass doors.
Behind the living room, a double bedroom with bathroom. This is the only bedroom on the ground floor, with a door to the back of the house. Next to the bedroom, going in circle, a laundry room and a staircase to take you to the first floor.
On the first floor you get to the corridor with a big desk if you have some emails to check. From the corridor you can get to the three bedrooms and bathrooms (two double, one twin beds). There is also a wooden staircase to the second floor where we have made a reading area with two twin sofas and an authentic home theater with 2 rows of REAL vintage red velvet seats: You can watch your favorite programs on a cinema screen!

Outside a vast area is entirely private for you. The pool area has a huge park for a large pool (12mt*5mt) with deckchairs and a shower. Two marquees and a wooden pagoda if you want to chill in the shade, eat a snack or drink some wine!

WiFi all over the property.

The following might be to be paid extra: Extra Bed, Extra Cleaning, Final Cleaning for pets, Heating, Pool towels, Refundable Security Deposit by credit card.

We had a fantastic 2 weeks at Villa Marina and would return in a heartbeat! It's in a tranquil spot, but not far ( about 6km) from shops. The villa itself is very well- maintained and beautifully furnished. Special touches like fresh coffee, quality olive oil and locally produced toiletries all make you feel at home. What sets this beautiful villa apart though is the service! Irene and Sara are always on hand to provide advice and tips about where to visit and eat. Irene gave us a tip about aperitivo in a local village. Honestly, it was such a highlight of our stay and we enjoyed being a local with no tourists in sight ( apart from us!). She also recommended a restaurant in Siena , where we had the best pasta I'd ever tasted! If you get chance, hire the private chef ( with her lovely Dad) to cook you a meal. It was such a treat and we're still talking about it now. As for the villa, it is spotlessly clean and huge. The air con works a treat. The pool area is beautiful and the sunbeds are very comfortable. If you're considering hiring this Tuscan gem, just do it! You won't be disappointed.

Enjoyed our time at this secluded gem. It was quiet and cozy. The villa was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Enjoyed Sara and Irina. They arranged dinners and roadtrips for us. They know Tuscany and were very helpful.

The property was Clean, well kept and maintained. The caretakers did a great job. The layout was good for a large group/family. Everything was well stocked and provided for. It is obvious great care goes into this property and the location is good to explore Chianti and Florence. We had a great time and all was very nice. The few small things which I would improve if possible are: - the chairs in the dining room with wire frames are really uncomfortable and with a large group or family, one wants to sit and stay longer at the table for meals and drinks and it is not comfortable. -The step down into the kitchen is pretty dangerous and most of us almost fell multiple times we put stools there to block it/remind us. -The road to the house is a bit treacherous. -The garbage bins are very far from the house. Rather than making guests bring garbage all the way over a mile down the road in our cars, since we are paying $500 for a final cleaning, have a waste bin outside and that locks and have the cleaning crew bring the garbage. This was really annoying to deal with while trying to packup and checkout.

We had a great time and the property was overall very well maintained and cared for. It was a great place to explore Florence and Chianti areas. the info they provided was very helpful. There were only a few small things I would improve and they are minor. Overall it is very well cared for and the tram of caretakers are very helpful and accessible.

The manager of this property, Irene, and her support staff, were wonderful. The villa is perfect for a family or several couples. Irene dropped by several times to ensure all was well. When we had a minor malfunction she made sure it was quickly corrected. The outdoor dining area is shaded and perfect for meals. The villa is in a quiet area, but is located so that trips to Florence, Siena, etc. are within reasonable traveling time. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the villa and the hospitality. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful place! Good central location to explore Tuscany. Pictures and description were accurate. Check in was easy (and Sara was VERY helpful throughout our visit - reachable the whole time to answer our questions). You definitely need a car as the property is set back away from any main road. The house is well-outfitted with all the supplies you need. AC worked good - even in the July heat. We enjoyed the pool and had a wonderful chef-prepared dinner one night (thank you Lorenzo and Francesca!) Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the property. We loved the decor and personal touches. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful villa in a gorgeous setting. Felt very remote but was only 5 minutes to a town with all amenities by car. Loved the outdoor dining area for meals and the pool for socialising. The Giropizza experience was an absolute highlight, as was nipping up the road to Loro Ciufenna and sitting on the bridge eating Gelato. Sara was a great liaison and would respond quickly to any queries we had. Would definitely come again.

We wanted a special getaway with friends and family and we found the perfect spot. Our host Irene was wonderful to deal with from the start and made everything so easy while we were there. She helped arrange chefs to come to the house, reccommended restaurants and made reservations for us- just incredibly helpful and made the trip worry free. The villa is roomy and wonderful and felt like home - perfect for a big group. You must have a car as it is out in the country - and it made exploring really fun. We can’t wait to go back!

While looking for a villa in Tuscany to begin a family vacation, my husband and sister, independently of each other, discovered Villa Marina and thought it would be the perfect spot to begin the first leg of our Italian vacation. Our host, Irene Gren, from the get-go, was so helpful and kind in answering our many questions. Not being all that familiar with the region, her recommendations were so useful. Irene is very easy to communicate with and extremely efficient! We came away realizing that you always want to follow your host's recommendations! The villa is located about 2 1/2 hours from Rome. While it is a little removed from some of the better-known destinations, such as Sienna or San Gimignano, we discovered many charming villages and wineries, off the beaten track, that we might not otherwise have found. The villa itself had an old-world charm, with plenty of space for our group of seven. The bedrooms and baths were spacious and comfortable. The outdoor space was especially appealing. We spent plenty of time by the pool, the covered seating area, and the loggia. Irene arranged two dinners at home, cooked by local chefs. Both dinners were wonderful - absolutely delicious, expertly prepared, and authentically Tuscan! And I would be remiss, if I didn't mention how delicious the local wines were that were served to us throughout the different courses. All in all, our group would highly recommend Villa Marina! Thank you, Irene, for an amazing start to our Italy vacation!! Salute!!
