Stayed Dec 31, 1969a perfect villa for a large family. furnished for all ages. unfortunately no basics for the kitchen (salt and pepper and oil) could have been nice to have toilet paper. careful, shops around are insanely expensive

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a nice stay in Villa Mara. The hosts are responsive and helpful. The house is uniquely decorated in traditional style and has a nice garden and a barbecue. It is comfortable with all amenities, though somewhat dated. The surrounding Sintra area is beautiful for hikes, car required.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We spent two weeks at villa Mara in July. The villa was very nice and well equipped. The outdoor area was also lovely. It was fantastic that Janas village was only 5 min walk – great coffee shop, supermarket, restaurant, baker and butcher. The location is ideal both for the nearby beaches, with excellent restaurants, and also for exploring the sights in Sintra. The villa manager was also extremely helpful.
