Family-Friendly Villa in Sintra Surrounded by Nature

The Quinta of Rui and Teresa is, quite simply, the most tasteful of all the vrbo villas we have ever stayed in. The generosity and general interest in their guests also leaves them being second to NONE. The Quinta consist of the main house, the splendidly appointed gardens and the fabulous pool area. Everything is fully private with no outside views. Rui and Teresa live next door but are completely invisible unless you need them. They have us breakfast lasting for four days and lovely wine as a welcome and helped us in every aspect of our stay. We would ABSOLUTELY return to this Paradise in the hills of Royal Sintra!

Rui and Teresa were friendly hosts that thought of everything for our stay. Very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, including supplying some essentials from the grocery to get started on the vacation right away. Lovely pool and lounge area. Beautiful gardens and quiet. Very comfortable beds. We had a rental car which made trips into the local bakery and restaurants very easy. Under 10 minutes drive to Sintra and under 30 minutes to center of Lisbon. There is also a private chef, Tiago, available for hire for authentic Portuguese dishes with all wines included. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Our family travelled from different parts of the world to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday in Sintra. We could not have asked for a better property to house our three kids and their partners in. Rui and Teresa have designed the house beautifully with every corner having something interesting to admire and observe. The house is very big with beautiful red oxide tiles in the main area. The bedrooms and bathrooms are generous in size and even though we were 8 people it never once felt crowded. The kitchen has every appliance imaginable which made cooking from scratch very easy. We even contemplated baking a cake ! The gardens and pool are a sensory delight and we spent many a happy hour just taking it all in. The house is not just beautiful but also very comfortable in luxurious kinda way. Rui and Teresa are very, very thoughtful hosts and a pleasure to communicate with. If you have a chance to enjoy their Villa, grab it!! We didn’t hire a car as we found Ubers very convenient . Really hope we can go back there sometime soon!

This home, this property, these hosts....everything was perfect. Rui and Teresa great you with a bottle of wine and a fresh baked loaf of bread! The house is immaculate. The backyard, the pool, the gardens are beautiful. This was the best week and we will come back!

This is a fabulous house -large, spacious and beautifully appointed. The location is ideal for exploring Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais and the coastline. It is secluded, with a large, private garden and not overlooked. It is immaculately presented, lovely bedrooms, each with private bathroom, the living areas both indoors and outside are excellent, the pool is a good size and very well maintained. The house has everything 2 families needed for comfort and Rui and Therese are wonderful hosts, very kind, attentive and supportive. We would definitely stay here again, one of the nicest properties we have stayed in anywhere. One minor downside - the villa is up a fairly steep, narrow country lane and nervous drivers might not enjoy the last 400m to reach it, although the road is perfectly safe.

We truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house with an amazing yard on a hill. Plenty space for 7 people. The house has a well equipped kitchen. It is conveniently located from stores and we walked several times to Sintra and it’s historical places. Driving on the local roads took some getting used to. The homeowners are very responsive and helpful. If you are looking for a spacious house, this one is highly recommended.

The property was spotlessly clean, perfectly proportioned, extremely comfortable and every conceivable detail thought about - even the knives were sharp!! A car is definitely needed but is very easy to get to all the interesting places nearby. The outside space is just as good as the inside with a fabulous view. This lovely house is worth every penny and has my highest recommendation - I shall definitely be returning.
