Villa il Sogno in the Park of Mount Portofino

We will never forget this villa! Old world charm with modern amenities. Memorable place for a large family or many couples. Living up on the mountain provided nice air and superb views of the harbor below. The home was quaint, comfortable, & spacious. Grounds were beautiful. An old rich-feeling Italian villa, with dish washer, laundry, and extremely impressive AC. It’s definitely not right in town, yet the views made it worth it. Helpful to have a car, park in main lot. You can walk up and down via direct path, only for the patient and physically fit. Federico’s recommendations were terrific. Extremely pleased with the villa, location, cleanliness, kind keepers. Our favorite night was making dinner in the kitchen and then dining on the top terrace. The views were breathtaking. Lved the outdoor dining table on the main floor, for breakfast. We fell in love with Santa Margherita Ligure. The beaches, while rocky, had amazing clear water. Walk along the port to find beach chair, umbrella to rent. (Cost ranged 25-200 euros/person). Small shops, gelato, and Ekom market had everything. The private beach Federico recommended (dating back to his Nona’s days) was truly an enjoyable walk down and memorable place to see.) We loved snorkeling crew at Diving Group Portofino- don’t miss! Local ferry to visit Portofino and other small harbors were fun and manageable excursions for the whole family. Beautiful Italian style house. The views were incredible. Owner very responsive. Two large outdoor patios. One patio overlooks the sea and the other the valley and town. We had breakfast overlooking the town and dinner overlooking the sea. You could see the 250 foot yatchs in the water just below us. One we recognized from Fort Lauderdale.

We loved everything about this place. It’s almoust like traveling in time. Amazing views

We loved the house, the views are amazing. Federico was very accommodating, it was super hot and he was able to get us fans to use in the downstairs living room area. All the bedrooms do have air conditioning.
