Stayed Mar 7, 2019This house (Villa Fuente de la Suerte) and location were perfect! We loved every day—no bugs at all!!—none, no mosquitoes or other bugs that can ruin a vacation. The pool was very large by Caribbean standards, clean, and the house was better than the pictures. The view and feel of the surrounding wilderness were awesome. The house and location were completely quiet. No cars, no motor cycles, no roosters. We have never experienced that quiet in the tropics before. World class beaches abound within 5 to 15 minutes from this house. We explored new beaches every day and the beach bars are everywhere. The restaurant prices are affordable if you stay away from the exclusive hotels. It is an easy 40 minute drive to Semana and we took in whale watching and the national park. In fact, we actually saw whales and whale spouts from our house’s deck through binoculars. The power worked more consistently than most Caribbean and Central American countries we have visited. The pool was clean and housekeeping adequate. We made full use of laundry facilities, kitchen, the barbeque, and outside seating areas. The weather was near perfect every day. A very nice stay! We felt safe all the time as many surrounding houses have security people. This part of the Dominican Republic is slower paced than most tourist spots. The local people are warm. The landlord Pierre met us at the local Polo market and led us to the house as planned. That was a nice touch. Pierre and his wife Danielle provided a great house and support as advertised. They speak mostly French and Spanish and a little English, and the phone for them is some difficulty if you are only speaking English. But, face to face communication in English works well enough. We are two couples that travel the Caribbean and central America yearly and I speak for all of us: We are considering returning here!

Stayed Oct 31, 2017Our stay in Villa Fuente de la Suerte was fantastic! The home was better than the photos, and was very clean. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hosts with some snacks and champagne with several candles lit. We had one minor issue during our stay, but the host fixed it within 1 hour. I would definitely recommend a stay in this home. The views and location were amazing! If we come back to Las Terrenas, we will definitely stay again.
