Stayed Sep 23, 2023Pros: Villa was beautiful, clean and spacious- the best part was the pool! Massages were great, food - delicious, chef- fantastic! Trad. balenese dinner - delicious, prepare for spice! Roosterfish pool club was a blast! 2 of us also did paragliding which was amazing! Cons: Hard to find the staff for, had to ask to change our pool towels everyday, when it should’ve been done without asking. Jery- (butler)works for 2 villas, so we had him half the time and couldn’t reach sometimes because he was busy. Jacuzzi does not work- the photos were misleading. Biggest issie we had was accounting, we were asked for $ multiple times a day, for groceries, meals etc, but we received no accounting at the end of the day, even when asked, which seemed odd and like Jery was avoiding it.They seemed to run out of $ very quick,it would’ve been nice to find out exactly what it goes to and how much things costs. We thought that staff could grocery shop daily, but they didn’t seem to have time, our grocery request from day 1 did not arrive until day 4.At the end of the trip we received (kind of) accounting papers, which were missing things,so it was hard to count exactly how much everything was, but we just left it at that.We left big tips, because we appreciated their work,$ was given to butler to distribute between 8+ staff. But..a few days after we left butler started messaging us and asking to borrow money.Sketchy and disappointing, not sure if tips were shared at all, manager doesn’t know where $ went

Stayed Apr 17, 2023Very pleasant stay especially if you want to 'get away from it all'. Well maintained and kept reasonably clean whilst there. Perhaps a little more unobtrusive cleaning of main walkways etc during stay would have enhanced the stay. (footprints etc - NB sun oils etc. ) Also condiments could have been better presented - sugar/salt etc affected by humidity. main issue is the 500m winding road on a very potholed road off the main road. Booklet with suggestions for various eateries and shops (local and high end) would have helped. Anyway, overall, a very pleasant syat and the staff were very eager to please. Ms Ai was especially competent.

Stayed Apr 4, 2023We highly recommend Villa Frangipani for a blissful Bali holiday. We spent 11 nights at the villa and could not have enjoyed it any more. Whilst the villa is stunning and the location beautiful, just as shown and described in the VRBO listing, what makes this villa and holiday so special is the incredible staff including Ai, Jery, Gus and Juni. Their kindness, fun and determination to add all the little touches made this a very special holiday. We hired a driver (Indra) for day trips and Jery came along with us. He was brilliant and make the days very special and fun. The driver (Indra) was also great, and looked slightly concerned when we suggested driving back to the UK as a road trip! We highly recommend having Jery as a guide for day trips - this was a brilliant idea by Ai and the owners so we'd encourage everyone to ask for this to enjoy very special days out. We loved the food at the villa and Gus was a brilliant butler for us each day. We also took up loads of activities at the villa including yoga, massage, easter egg hunts, easter egg decoration, Balinese decoration making from plants, fire pit evening and toasting marshmallows, etc. Ai was fab and even bought some toys our son to play with over Easter, which he loved. We highly recommend tipping the staff as they do a fantastic job but, before you do, please ask if the money will go directly to the staff members concerned, or whether the money is collected and given to the owners instead. As all the reviews flag, the road to the villa is awful but this was not a problem and we had no issues getting taxis to and from the villa. We would highly recommend this villa for a very special holiday in Bali, and trust the owners realise that the staff they have are the magic ingredient. They are very special and need to be looked after.

Stayed Jul 31, 2022I stayed here for a week with a group of 10 friends. We absolutely loved the property. The staff was incredibly helpful, attending to our every need at all hours of the day. Even before we arrived, they were very communicative about services they could arrange for us in advance, including a seamless airport transfer. The food was delicious, especially the traditional Balinese dinner, which came complete with decorations around the dining space. The poolside massages were another highlight. We loved that each room had its own en-suite bath. A few things to note for expectation setting purposes: -The rooms are pretty different in terms of size and amenities. Each has its own bathroom, but some are large suites while others are much smaller. Keep that in mind in case it affects the desired size of your group. -The gated community is pretty remote, requiring about a 10 minute drive down a bumpy dirt road. Some taxi drivers were quite annoyed about having to drive on the road in that condition. The remoteness had its perks, as it was very quiet and felt very safe on the property. But if you prefer to be walking distance to shops and restaurants, this wouldn’t be a good fit. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would highly recommend the villa for groups looking to spend time in a beautiful and secluded paradise.

Stayed Jul 4, 2019Villa Frangipani really is a beautiful, clean and totally up together property. The photos on the website, although very good, still don't do the villa justice. You currently have to access the villa through a redundant building site, which was something we were initially worried about, but there was really no need. Once you arrive at the location, you enter a private gated paradise, where there are approx 10 super-sized villas set within beautiful gardens. Villa Frangipani has 5 absolutely massive luxury bedrooms and one slightly smaller. There are tons of spacious areas and interesting features including a daybed over looking the sea, a fantastic water feature full of fish (and a turtle) and of course the massive swimming pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful and were happy to adapt meal options to suit our party. They pretty much catered for all our needs and would help out with anything they could during our stay. It would have been good to be able to walk from the villa to other places, but we were aware in advance that this would be difficult. However, there always seemed to be a driver available and at about £17 for 4 hours driving, this seemed very reasonable. For shorter journeys to and from the golf club, there was kindly no charge. During our stay, we weren't allowed to use the kitchen, which we were more than happy with and we certainly never went hungry. However, if returning, I would suggest the guest fridge is pre stacked with drinks, snacks, ice cream (and of course beer!) pre arrival. It would be really good if there had been some sort of food and drinks list made available, just to cater for crisps, alcohol and soft drinks etc. Overall, this is by far the most stunning villa I've ever stayed in and I wouldn't hesitate to return. However, this location is all about relaxing and enjoying the villa and the great service, if you're planning to explore the island everyday, you might want to be in a busier area.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The Best Week-end Gateway for our big fat Indonesian Family. This villa can accommodate 3 families (parents and 2 children) but seems still very peaceful. Large swimming pool, awesome staff, Authentic Indonesian food catered by one of the well known chef of Bumbu Bali, Heinz von Holzen, the best as always. There is a spa room in the house, two therapists were called in and took turn enjoying the treatment while relaxing in the house. View is stunning, pity that we don't bring proper camera. The villa seems to be build in a proper manner, rather rare, in a booming villa island like Bali. Rooms are design in a 5 stars rates hotel room level. Great Value of money for small group vacationing together.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I can try to put my experience at Villa Frangipani into words, but I know I could never do this villa justice. Private Villas of Bali made what could have been a high stress situation the most perfect experience I could have asked for. I used Villa Frangipani for the launch and photo-shoot for my vegan skin and hair rejuvenation line. The villas are located in a gated community in the ultra-exclusive Bukit Pandawa area of Bali. It’s a very intimate setting with access to an ocean-front cliff, future cliff front walk and stairs to the beach and a there’s even a temple right off of Villa Frangipani. To give you an idea of how prime the location is, there are plans for Waldorf Astoria and Mandarin Oriental villas right next door. Bali has so many amazing areas, but this is the area luxury travellers frequent. You can tell extreme detail, care and taste level has gone into designing these villas. The villa maximizes the indoor and outdoor space while still feeling clean, airy and not having bugs everywhere like most places in Bali. This may not be a big deal to some because insect and mosquitos are expected in Bali, but this was very important to me. There are so many different areas of interest from outdoor massage areas to fountains to infinity pools. There’s something visually appealing everywhere you look whether it is art, décor, rugs, murals or wall sculptures, nothing is left out. The furnishings are simply stunning. You really have to see it to appreciate it. I don’t think pictures can even do it justice. Villa Frangipani is equipped with TWO state of the art kitchens prepared to make anything you could dream of. When they gave us the tour and showed me this beautiful kitchen that’s just for making breakfast at the pool, I was floored! The chef prepared the most amazing vegan food for me while preparing seafood and meat options for my team. I worked in the entertainment industry for over 10 years before transitioning to my own company, and I’ve travelled in the most luxurious settings with many celebrities. I have NEVER experienced anything like these villas. It’s not just the accommodations, and it’s not just the hospitality. It’s the combination of them both that makes this a world-class experience that would leave even the most luxury of travelers speechless. Imagine what it feels like to be catered to at the highest level, and then multiply that by 10. That’s the experience you get at Villa Frangipani!
