Villa Casanova in Lake Como with private pool

Enjoy one of the most beautiful places in the world by staying in a wonderful Villa built at the beginning of the 18th century. Villa Casanova, owned by an important Italian noble family and previously the residence of a Bishop, has been recently renovated with a particular attention to preserving the antique furniture and “frescoes” dating back to early 'The Villa is divided into 2 separated apartments (one with 4 bedrooms and the other with 2 bedrooms) with separate entrances. One apartment takes the first two floors, with an entrance on the front side of the Villa, the second apartment is on the top floor and can be reached from the back side of the Villa. The Villa can accommodate up to 12 people, it has 6 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. There are two master bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms. Two adjacent bedrooms (both with double beds) suitable for a couple with children, with access to a veranda with a breathtaking view of the lake and the mountains raising up from the water.

The old Orangery was recently renovated and transformed into a charming and spacious room overlooking the garden, it has a queen size bed, en-suite bathroom and provides guests with privacy because it is located next to the Villa. The Villa is surrounded by a lush park, for exclusive use of our guests, with a great variety of plants and flowers. During the summer season (June to September), our guests will also have access to the spacious and sunny swimming-pool, located on the back part of the garden.

Casanova is an historical and luxury Villa and must be respected as such. Despite the impressive walls typical of the period and the charming oak floors, it is sometimes possible to hear the floor creaking between the second and third floor of the Villa.

The Villa is decorated with great taste and it is equipped with all comforts, such as free wi-fi in every room and 2 satellite TVs, one in the TV lounge (ground floor) and the other in the living room at the 3rd floor. The 2 kitchens, one located in the ground floor (1st apartment) and the other in the 3rd floor (2nd apartment) are modern and well equipped with all the necessary utensils for your lunches, dinners, BBQs and Aperitivo. The bigger one on the ground floor is equipped with an American style fridge and a large pantry. You can also enjoy dinner from the terrace on the 3rd floor, overlooking an amazing view of Lake Como!

Villa Casanova is located in a residential and quiet neighborhood, just a few minutes walking from the village of Lenno and it enjoys a privileged position to observe the wonders of the Lake Como itself. The charming town of Lenno has restaurants, bars, supermarkets, delicious gelato, wine shops, etc. Our guests also have the opportunity to purchase olive oil from a local mill and fresh fish from the fishermen. We can also organize wonderful trips with a motorboat to enjoy the beautiful shores of the lake. Lenno, in the heart of Lake of Como, is the perfect base to discover the beauties of the lake. It is located on the Greenway path linking, with lovely views of the landscape, the famous villages of the Tremezzina . The area is famous not only for the lake but also for the wonderful hiking and mountain biking. The Swiss border and Lake Lugano is only half an hour away by car and Milan can be easily reached in 1-11/2 hours. Finally, the Villa is located just minutes away from the most beautiful villas of Lake Como (some are open to the public and can visited by paying an entrance fee).

Villa Balbianello, owned by FAI (Italian Environment Fund) and location for many movies, like Star Wars and 007, is minutes away can be easily reached via a pedestrian route.
