Villa Africa Chic Luxury retreat with private pool

What an amazing villa and a wonderful host. José and Luisa bent over backwards to help us out. The villa is just wow, everything you need for a more than comfortable stay. You will need a car but it is easy to get to Lisbon and the surrounding villages, beaches and countryside.

We had a truly wonderful week at this beautiful villa in Portugal. The house is stunning! Elegantly designed and tastefully furnished with a real sense of comfort and style. Some of our favourite parts were the well-equipped kitchen, the enormous living room with breathtaking natural light and the outdoor pool; we actually found ourselves preferring to stay in and cook rather than go out as the house is so beautiful and welcoming that no one wanted to leave. The space is calm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxing holiday. That said, there were a couple of issues that we feel are important to mention. The wooden pool deck, unfortunately, hasn’t been maintained properly and caused quite a bit of discomfort. Several of us ended up with splinters in our feet, and one day turned into a bit of a drama when my son got ten splinters—removing them was not easy and quite distressing. This area really needs some attention and oiling to make it safe for barefoot use.Despite this hiccup, the villa is truly a gem and we would love to return, especially once the pool deck has been refurbished. Thank you for a memorable stay! We are totally in love with Portugal.

We had a great stay, easy check in. It was a great interlude for our family visiting Portugal. We were able to relax in the pool and drive into Lisbon for short day trips !

We had a perfect week at this nice house, everything was as explained in the information about the house. Help and support from the owner was quick and very good. Of course, you need a car to get around, but then you will be able to visit everything within max. one hour. For a family with children it’s a perfect place.

Beautiful villa, quiet location.

We had a fantastic stay, made easy by our lovely hosts Jose & Luisa, who were always accommodating & responsive to any questions. The property is superb, just like the photos: very spacious, well-decorated, and easy to operate. Everything was very comfortable, from beds to showers to the kitchen. We would definitely recommend.

We stayed at this house for a full week and really enjoyed it. The owners greeted us themselves and showed us around in the house - they were super helpful, very kind and offered us any kind of support we might need. The property is beautifully decorated and fully equipped with anything a traveller could require. Located in a gated community the house sits by a (currently inoperational) golf course, which provides a nice running and walking trail at the moment. For longer runs, walks and mountaibiking there are many trails in surrounding the area. Thanks again to Luisa and Jose for letting us stay at their beutiful house!

What a truly lovely house! Everything was provided for a relaxing stay and even though the golf course on which it is located, is now none operational that made it even more peaceful. The house, though, is the star and Jose and Luisa could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We will be back!!

We have been in Portugal for almost 5 months now and how we wish we found this rental sooner. The hosts (Luisa and Jose) are very accommodating - they helped us book the property longer due to our flight getting cancelled multiple times. The property is like something that came out of a magazine - how we wish we found the homeaway website sooner. The pandemic has driven all of us to the edge of survival, and sadly some us showed true colors of people around us. Me and my family have been very fortunate to have found this property to rent -Luisa and Jose offered us their home when we cant get to ours.
