Beautiful, well appointed villa which made for a really comfortable stay. The heated pool was lovely and the sea views are spectacular!Richard and Lena are the loveliest, kindest and most helpful hosts you could wish for!

A very nice property within a 5 minute walk of Martinhal beach. The pool is amazing and kept comfortably warm, which is especially nice in the evenings when temperatures turn cooler. Grocery store is a 5 minute drive away. Richard and Lena are extraordinarily nice hosts, who live on the property in a separate home and eager to help with anything. They will meet you upon arrival to tour the house and again when you depart to hand off the keys. A few things to know: 1. As stated in the listing, there is no air conditioning. We're told that is not uncommon because of typical weather in Sagres. But, we were there during a heatwave and it was unbearable at night. Because all the windows and sliding doors are without screens, we closed them at night. There are no fans circulating air inside and it is quite uncomfortable in high temperatures. 2. Bedding does not include top sheet, so sleeping is either with a duvet or blanket. With hot weather, it is not ideal. No extra bedding of any kind is available. 3. Unless you want to use body wash as shampoo, bring your own. Overall, a very nice property and experience, but we would be wary of staying again in the Sagres region without A/C.

Can’t say enough on how perfect the accommodations were. Beautifully built Villa with an amazing view, very large outdoor patio, with a nice sized, clean pool for laps or play. The area was, and felt, extremely safe. Short walk to the beach, which has a couple of restaurants for food or drinks. We were amazed on how short of a drive into the main town of Sagres was, under 5 minutes. Location was ideal for that short drive into town, or good take off spot to all the more remote beaches/attractions. Highly recommend!

In every respect, this was an excellent property and ideal to suit our needs as a family of 4 people.

Villa Verde was a wonderful place to stay during our trip to the Algarve. Richard and Lena were attentive hosts who provided excellent recommendations during our stay. The property was clean, spacious and well equipped and the location was perfect to explore the south and west coasts of Portugal. We wouldn’t hesitate to return if we are lucky enough to visit Portugal again.

Thanks so much to Lena and Richard for providing such a well-equipped villa for a truly relaxing week's holiday. The high point is the beautiful pool. The 12.5 metre length makes it perfect for swimming and the salt water makes it kind to your skin. Both girls really enjoyed improving their diving skills over the week! Casteljo beach and restaurant are well worth visiting.

Lena and Richard were great hosts for our visit to Sagres. Their Villa could not have been more perfect for our family. Everything was pristine and well organized. We loved waking up and looking out over the huge pool to see the ocean in the distance while we ate our meals on the patio. The owners were very helpful with suggestions for dinner and other places to check out around Sagres and beyond. Out favorite was Nortada right on the beach - such great fresh fish walkable from the house. We could go to the beach and dinner without ever getting in the car. Best of all Lena and Richard went out of the way to make sure that our almost year old son had everything for a fun trip - not just a crib and high chair (the crucial things) but also beach toys, pool toys and even flaoties to swim. We hope we make it back to Sagres to stay at this villa again!

We had a week at villa verde at the end of September. What a wonderful place. Exceeded all expectations. Perfect location just a couple of minutes walk from a tranquil beach and a 15 minute drive from some of the best surfy beaches we've visited. The villa itself is equipped with everything you could possibly need on holiday, great gas BBQ outside and water in the pool was just wonderful. Thank you so much.

Firstly, the Villa was absolutely immaculate, a huge amount of care and attention to detail inside and out. If you are looking for a Villa within easy reach of Faro this is a great choice. Restaurant Nortada, within 5 minutes walk and sitting on the beach, sells fresh fish and plenty of other options for our 9 year olds. Richard and Lena were the most gracious hosts, waiting for us on arrival to run through the Villa and local landmarks. Great tips for restaurants too, Selema had some fabulous options for fish and meat alike. A great villa, thank you. Richard and Janette
