This recently upgraded home in an olive grove is clean and has all of the modern conveniences. The pool is large and nicely landscaped. The bathroom is lovely with its crystal and marble accents. You have all the privacy you need in you own property. Hazel, the host, is gracious and very helpful (thank you for putting up with me Hazel). This is in an agrarian area, so the old ancient roads can be narrow and a challenge for us Americans who are accustomed to wide roads.

Fab stay at this villa and trullo. Lovely big pool and plenty of sunbeds and chairs around so you could easily escape the hot sun. Villa was well stocked with everything we needed. Good aircon. A small welcome pack would have been nice though, especially after the wonderful treats we were given on arrival at our previous villa, which made us feel special. Trullo was very sweet and we enjoyed the unique experience of waking up with the conical roof above and opening the windows to listen to the birds outside. Would recommend a trip to Matera (even though it is a bit of a journey) as well as the nearer Alberobello, which was adorable. Beaches were packed (as expected in August) but go early, and explore around, there are some gems to be found away from the larger towns. Check in was good, but a comment about thieves in the area did play on my mind for a few days. We didn't have any issues though, and had a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely location, very rural, but we had the car.The property was lovely, the pool was lovely. Weather was fantastic. We enjoyed the process of making pizza, not so much eating of them but that was down to the chef's. The Villa had everything we wanted and was very comfortable really enjoyed our stay. Thankyou

A very well-presented, equipped and comfortable villa situated off the beaten track in a very quiet and remote rural location. About 10 mins drive to nearest town which is a beautiful with cafes and restaurants. Lots to explore further afield too! Villa is clean, well looked after and has everything you need for a super stay.Pool is a great size but would benefit from more umbrellas- 2 very small umbrellas provided but each do not shade a lounger. Very large grounds surround villa and make for spacious plot but be aware of rough terrain - not easily made use of (e.g children playing or strolling unless wearing robust shoes). Check-in and out of villa were least favourable aspect- check-in left our 2 children wary about the safety of the area based on advice about locking villa gates owing to stray dogs (which we did encounter driving local to villa) and possible car theft (no information given as to how real this threat is and whether the villa itself has ever suffered this). Check out felt pressured with Hazel arriving into property without knocking at 9:26am for 10am departure. Quirks of property to be aware of include limited hot water, and no bathroom door lock (key lock but no key provided). Were advised at check-in to avoid wearing nice or white clothes on outdoor sofas owing to stains possible from red ants- although we did not see any. Trulli is beautiful and located through separate front doors to the villa itself (contained bedroom suite).

An absolutely beautiful property with excellent grounds including a great swimming pool which is even better than the photos. The surrounding area has lots of places to visit. It was lovely to have the experience of staying in a traditional trullo but also having the amenities of the modern villa. Hazel was really helpful and it was good to know that she was at the end of the phone if we had any issues.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in comfort and peace, at Trullo Dolce in the heart of the Puglian countryside. The Villa is new and well equipped, with a fantastic new double bathroom and great kitchen. The living area is open plan to the kitchen, so there's plenty of space to relax both inside and out. The beautiful trullo is also a little more spacious than it seems from the photos, which was a lovely surprise. We found the villa and trullo aren't connected, but with two sets of keys, it's just a few steps between front doors. The whole place runs on solar, which makes sense given all the sunshine! We had all the electricity and lovely hot water we needed. The air-con was brilliant and very welcome and the wifi excellent, working seamlessly inside and out - a relief when holidaying with teenagers!!! We loved using the huge BBQ and fabulous Pizza oven and relaxing outside. The highlight for us though, was the incredible pool!! It's huge! and so well maintained. It was hard to drag ourselves away to visit all the amazing beaches and lovely towns in the area which, in such a beautiful region, we'd also highly recommend. We would have happily stayed longer.

The best of both worlds - a super modern villa plus the traditional trullo. The perfect place for a peaceful stay in beautiful surroundings. Wish we could have stayed longer.
