Stayed Apr 11, 2023The location was fantastic, it was like life styles of the “rich and famous” at an extremely reasonable price. Our host was most gracious. I highly recommend this property

Stayed Oct 1, 2019Martino is an excellent host and went out of his way to come and meet us when we had a flat tire in Alberobello. His wife made fresh focaccia for us also. The property is in the country with beautiful vegetation and olive trees on the front lawn, with farms surrounding you. Beds are firm with limited pillows. Coffee machine is espresso only but frig was well stocked for breakfast. It was a nice break from city hotels in the lovely countryside.

Stayed Sep 9, 2024A great deal of attention has gone into making this a charming and comfortable setting. Everything up to date and the grounds are a delightful garden set amidst an olive grove! Spectacular. Hosts were kind and gave us lots of help an attention! We wish our stay could have been longer!

Stayed May 20, 2023The property was great! More than we needed as 2 people for 2 nights. Well suited for a family of 4 who are going to stay longer during better weather.

Stayed May 27, 2022After visiting several cities we knew we wanted some time in the country. So glad we picked this place. You definitely need a car but so very worth it. Pros: Our plane into Bari was late but Matino's wife stayed to welcome us at 8:30 p.m. (long after we were expected.). When we arrived all the tables were loaded with goodies and snacks and the refrigerator was also full of supplies (fresh fruit, juices, milk). So appreciated, especially the wine and warm fococcia bread which we ate for dinner. The next morning we woke up in the most lovely space. The outdoor patios. (there are three of them) are surrounded by flowers and plants. Beyond the walls are olive and fruit tree gardens. Lovely shaded tables and seating areas are everywhere. A VERY special place to wake up every morning. There are two rooms and because my husband had a cold he slept in the kids room (with twin beds) and not the master bedroom. There is good A/C if needed, a great shower and a great washer. A nice driveway away from the road that is very secure for your car. Martino's wife left us two big bowls of fresh cheeries that were just picked in the surrounding orchard and on one evening she also brought us the parmesan-eggplant dish that is very popular in the area. A real treat. Meanwhile Martino checked in on us everyday on Whatsapp in case we needed anything. The location is great for driving and visiting all the local little towns and even the beach. Now for the cons: While there, the internet is went out several times. Sometimes it worked fine--other times??? (yes you are in the country!). But for remote workers it can be problematic. And the area is amazingly quiet--it isn't when the dogs start barking next door. They did it A LOT. That is especially annoying early in the morning when you are trying to sleep. Last, cooking on the propane stove to heat water for tea was very awkward. (no hotpot.). Would I recommend the place? Yes. It is a very special place and lovingly maintained. And while you can't control neighbors dogs or the internet, it would be nice if they added a hot pot for future guests.

Stayed Jun 16, 2019The owners were very accommodating. They welcomed us with delicious treats and over the course of our stay we were spoiled with homemade bread, eggplant, the refrigerator was fully stocked. Martino checked in daily to make sure we were ok and made many suggestions about restaurants and places to see. The location was perfect. A tremendous vacation.

Stayed May 22, 2019Host was terrific in all communications both before and during our stay. Met us in Locorotondo to take us to the property. Very welcoming with bread and other baked goods. We found the villa was too cramped for two couples. The single beds were very small and no room for luggage. We thought there were two bathrooms but only one. Clean villa but cluttered so hard to find room for things.

Stayed Nov 3, 2018This is a very nice property with great outdoor space. It is very quaint set in an olive grove. The location is private, but neighboring houses nearby. It is an easy drive less than an hour from the coast and Ostuni. It it is a great location for day trips. It is about 10 minutes from Locorotondo where there are bakeries, restaurants and a well stocked supermarket. The Trullo is very comfortable with firm mattresses, good water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. It is quiet for a good nights sleep. The best is Martino and his wife are very attentive and easily available if you have any questions. We were greeted with warm fresh baked focaccia and cookies, delicious. During our stay were also received homemade melazane rolls straight from the oven to enjoy for lunch. Breakfast foods are also included with a refrigerator stocked with jams, butter, juice, water, cheese, and ham. There was also coffee, tea and an abundance of snacks. The property is very clean and well cared for. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed Sep 4, 2018This is an adorable property that will make you feel right at home. It was supremely clean and well organized. It has numerous patios and verandas for any time of the day. It is a bit difficult to find, but once we were there, we loved it. It is about 5 km from Locorotondo, out in the country. But that is why we loved it. Martino and his wife went above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay. My flight was very late, and he still met us at 23:30 in Locorotondo, to lead us to the property. Not only this, his wife had a WARM focaccia for us! What a delight for weary travelers! The kitchen was well stocked with fruit, juices, coffee, and all sorts of breakfast food. There was also wine, cheese and prosciutto, as well as fresh figs from the trees outside. He was kind enough to check in with us everyday, making sure everything was going well. He was a great communicator. He even made some reservations at suggested restaurants for us. They were places we would have never found for ourselves. Martino gets 5 gold stars in the host department!!

Stayed Aug 2, 2018This trullo is about 4 miles outside the town of Locorotondo, While it is not isolated, it is set back from the road among orchards with apple, fig, almond and olive trees. The setting is peaceful and one can easily relax surrounded by a variety of beautiful flowers. The wifi is excellent. The property is spacious inside and is equipped with all the essentials. The hosts, Martino and Livia, are most attentive, in fact they take the prize for the Most Attentive (and generous) hosts we have encountered. In addition to being always available, Livia brought us wonderful focaccias on two occasions during our nine day stay. As well, a plentiful range of breakfast items is provided together with a good coffee maker - and good coffee.
