Stayed Sep 15, 2025We absolutely loved staying at this property. It was so full of character and was genuinely historical having been built by the owners grandfather. The living area is large and the kitchen area well supplied with all the utensils needed. The outside area has a table & chairs and it is very pleasant to eat outside. The only downside is that turning into & coming out of the property is not easy.

Stayed May 17, 2025Our stay at Casa Ciccone Cardone was wonderful, it's a real trulli house, charming in every way and our hosts were amazing. This property is everything the listing says it is and more, very clean, so well appointed, fully equipped kitchen and beautiful garden. In addition, it is so centrally located to so many places we wanted to visit (Alberobello, Locorotondo, Cisternino, Ostuni, Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, etc.). There is a mini market just around the corner that offers wonderful produce, meat, cheese, wine, etc. so we easily enjoyed many meals on site. Access in and out was simple and the generous parking area made it very easy for us. We highly recommend this property.

Stayed Apr 26, 2025We loved our stay here. It is a charming Trullo, comfortable, tastefully decorated and quirky. Also well equipped for cooking. Garden is lovely and provides a number of places to sit outside. San Marco is a beautiful little village with a Bar/cafe, mini market, pharmacy and post office. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming and patient with our poor attempts at Italian. We stumbled on a wine tasting at Olympia, just 50m behind the house near the old church in a beautiful small piazza. Amazing! A perfect location for exploring the area, many wonderful places within half an hour or so by car. Access to further afield possible by train from Fasano only 20mins away where there is great/cheap safe parking. Francesco our host provided a warm welcome on arrival, an excellent set of video clips of how to get there and great suggestions. Highly recommend this home in this village, with a car to discover Puglia easily.

Stayed Nov 14, 2024The house is very comfortable, well appointed and quiet. It was just my wife and I so we had plenty of room but the house can easily accommodate more. It is ideally located as a base from which to visit all the towns in the Valle d'Itria area

Stayed Oct 15, 2024Bb Beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished unique architecture. Stunning landscaping and peaceful, quiet property. Coffée shop and neighborhood grocery market few steps away were delightful. Only disappointments were that two features we anticipated were not available for our use: the second bedroom and the hot tub. However, the king sized bed turned out to be more comfortable than the loft bedroom would have been.

Stayed Oct 7, 2024While having a vehicle is a must for this location we found our stay extremely pleasant. The owners went above and beyond to ensure we had a great visit and provided us with great suggestions on what to see while staying there. The location was clean and the owners took a lot of pride in the property. Would visit again in a heart beat!

Stayed Sep 21, 2022Bags of character. Fantastic outdoor areas for seating, sunning and lounging. Fabulous communication from the Francesco who made access to the property so easy and inviting. The area is outstanding and locally you have shops, pharmacy, bars and a small butcher/restaurant that serves some excellent food.

Stayed Oct 22, 2021We very much enjoyed our stay. The trullo was very large (the pictures on the website don't do it justice -- it's bigger than it looked to us) and can easily accommodate 5 or more guests. One large bedroom downstairs has a queen bed, while the second large bedroom upstairs has a queen and a twin bed. In addition, there are pull-out beds in some of the furniture. The bedrooms have lots of space for storing your clothes (closets and dressers). There is both a living room and a very comfortable sitting room, both with TVs (but only Italian programs), as well as multiple outdoor areas with seating and tables. The washing machine works well, although it has a smaller capacity than most American washers. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped, but could use better knives for food preparation. We found the location to be very convenient, using it as a base for day trips. The trullo is in the village of San Marco, close to Locorotondo (10 minutes), Alberobello (15 minutes), Cisternino (20), Ostuni (40), Bari (60), Polignano a Mare (30), Monopoli (25), Lecce (1 hour 15 minutes), Matera (1 hour 20 minutes), and the Castellano Caves (25). There is a grocery store a 3 minute walk away. The surrounding is lovely, and there are also restaurants nearby outside of the towns. We highly recommend it for anyone interested in exploring Puglia.

Stayed Sep 22, 2019This property was very authentic and spacious. Very good value! The only thing I would suggest to improve the experience would be slightly better equipping in the kitchen. For example, there were only 3 very inadequate wine glasses, not one good chopping knife, no larger glasses etc. They could also use better labelling on the information about garbage and recycling to make it easier for guests to comply. I realize that it is probably difficult to keep items from disappearing, however, replacement is necessary. These are small inconveniences, but kept me from giving a 5 for overall.

Stayed Mar 21, 2019Only negative was that probably because of the time of year (end of March) house was cold and damp.
