This 4 bedroomed spacious apartment is very comfortable and clean. The four bathrooms make sharing the apartment with friends very easy. It has a well equipped kitchen for those lazy nights at home, and is central for sightseeing, the beach and the town. Roof space is ideal for sunbathing/relaxing and for a barbeque (which is supplied). You are better off with a SMALL/medium car for navigating around the town, as it is very narrow and hilly in most parts. Restaurants are good, even those that look less than smart on the outside. The beach is not particularly nice, April 2011 we saw piles of weed on the edge of the sea, with masses of it in the water. Perhaps this will be cleared before the season gets underway. Bob and his wife offer great customer service, with advice on places to eat, get takeaways etc and for making visitors as comfortable as possible. We have visited this property twice and I would thoroughly recommend it to others.
After landing on Trapani airport, the navigation should guide us to the house. Ofcourse we end up in the middle of Sciacca. After half an hour struggling, we finally found the road to the house. When we arrived here Bob and his daughter were already waiting for us. They gave us a tour through the house, which looked really nice and had a lot of rooms. As we were with a few girls a lot of bathrooms in the house was a nice luxery. The entire roof of the house was one big terrace, which was very nice to chill out in the sun. Also it is a very nice starting point to see beautiful places like Agrigento, Trapani and Selinunte. Also a trip towards Mount Etna, which is a long drive, is definetly worth going there. Ofcourse taking a walk in or around Sciacca is nice to do as well. For the fans of the godfather trilogy a trip to Corleone is nice. It's not the most beautiful place to go, but you just have to be able to say that you have been there. All taken together it's a nice place to explore the southwest of Sicilie.
We arrived in Sciacca, having taken the wrong turn-off at about 2.30pm on a Sunday afternoon. A phone call to Bob brought him to us within 5 minutes and he led us to the apartment, explaing a few essentials along the way. The apartment was exceptionally clean and well decorated. The apartment had high ceilings and large rooms, accomodating our party of 8 quite easily. The location is excellent for exploring the south west of the island and the ruins at Agregento, erinea mecloa and selinunte are within an hours drive and well worth a visit. The beach at Erinea Mecloa is also excellent. Highly recommended.
