If you happen to find this beautiful house because it is still available, you have struck gold. We have spent two fulls weeks here end of May / beginning of June with our three young kids. The entire house and garden is very well looked after. Many and comfortable opportunities to sit outside, very nice views to the sea and the countryside. Inside as well as outside, you can feel that Maria Teresa spends time here too - there are so many lovely details, so many nice wooden furniture, and everything with the needs of guests in vacation at mind too. We have very much felt at home during these two weeks and cannot wait to come back soon :) The village itself is full of nice people, and the countryside around is just astonishing, and the most beautiful beaches not far away. And at this time of the year, the water is already good for swimming, we have enjoyed it alot. Thank you Maria Teresa for having us, you have been a wonderful host. Thank you for all the very useful information you have put together and for the excellent welcome cakes! PS: The kids loved to feed the little turtle Victoria!

My family and I had a wonderful holiday at Maria Theresa’s amazing home. The house has a wonderful position overlooking the sea and is full of thoughtful touches inside and outside that make it a real pleasure to stay in. This was our first visit to Sardinia and we loved exploring all the local sights from the Sinis Penisula up to Bosa, but nothing beat our morning swim with the fishes in the cove opposite. Maria Theresa was a charming and informative owner who helped making the booking as easy as possible.

Firstly I have to say Maria Teresa the owner was so helpful with every aspect of the holiday, from directions to advice on places to visit. We had a wonderful week with our two children 4 and 8. The villa is perfect for families. If you want to get away from it all and the English tourists who seem to pop up in every nook and cranny around the world this is the place for you. Quiet beaches, quiet roads and void of tourists, perfect for us. Highly recommend for an excellent quiet holiday for young families. Lastly, we'll miss the villa's permanent resident - Victoria.

Really enjoyed our break at this comfortable and spacious holiday home. Great sea views from the balcony and lots of different sitting and dining areas in the well landscaped garden. Highly recommended.

It is hard to beat a holiday in Sardinia as the summer season slows. We were greeted by Marie Therese who showed us around her house which is thoughtfully designed for holidaymaking. Everything one could ask for is provided in this large and generously proportioned house. The deep, shaded veranda offers a perfect view of the sea and sunsets. The very large garden is perfect for a long read while sunbathing . Marie Therese is a warm and extremely helpful hostess. Local wine and cakes welcomed us and during our stay we were offered a tray of figs, perfectly on the turn, from Marie Therese's tree. Deep knowledge of the region with its secret beaches and eating spots was generously shared. All in all..... wonderful!

Maria Theresa has created the perfect holiday home. I think she has poured a lot of thought and love into the house - and it shows. The house itself is beautiful - and very spacious for our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teenagers). We really enjoyed the different outside spaces for bbq-ing, relaxing and taking in the endless sea view. There was a very helpful set of notes about the house and the surrounding area. There was plenty to explore; I loved the variety of different beaches within a short walk/drive - from the creek of su riu (perfect for snorkelling) to the picture-perfect white beaches of the sinis pinisula and the waves of arenas - as well as a stunning mountain walk and the winding streets of bosa.

Casa dei Cardellini is certainly the best house in Santa Caterina. Fantastic location, incredible views (both seaside and countryside), very large garden/outside space, large rooms, top level facilities. I commend Maria Teresa and Antonio for being incredible landlords and Casa dei Cardellini is the perfect base to discover and enjoy an amazing and sometimes less known part of Sardinia.

A gem of a house and stunning garden equipped with everything you could need. We're a family of five with children aged 6, 8 and 11. We all loved it and felt instantly at home. Lots of shade and cosy corners all around the house and the outdoor shower is a dream. Pet tortoise also a big hit. Wonderful location with sea views in front and mountains behind. 5 min walk to local beach and our favourite ice cream restaurant Asterix. Great base for exploring stunning local area. So many wonderful quiet beaches. Super snorkelling. Good, safe roads. Large supermarkets about 10 mins drive away otherwise local shops have surprisingly good stock. Recommend day trip to Bosa. This was our first visit to Sardinia and we wanted a rural location away from tourists. This is exactly what we found so were very happy. Maria is a delightful host. Very very helpful and interested. Could have stayed here for a very long time!

Maria Teresa and Antonio Grimaldi are very kind and warm hosts, who were very accommodating when we had trouble with our travels, and went to great lengths to make our stay comfortable for our young family. The house has all the essentials and a lovely garden, and is very well placed for exploring the West cost of Sardinia
