Perfect, that's the best word I can use to describe my stay! I am a single, working remotely, adventurous hiking enthusiast who was looking for a place to stay for 5-6 weeks in/around Asheville to watch the leaves change color. I am SO HAPPY I found this stay early in the year! Tip #1 BOOK EARLY! lol It fills up quick especially if you are staying for an extended time. . Location: GREAT location in West Asheville. Truly, it's only 1 mile or less and you're in Downtown Asheville and less than a mile you're in West Asheville. The best of both worlds. Walking, yes, you can absolutely walk to just about anywhere but caution, when you return...you will be walking uphill. ;) This wasn't an issue for me as I LOVED the walk...and...I'm a hiker so no issues for me. I appreciated the hills, and you can walk in either direction and make a loop down to the French Broad River Greenway West that comes out to ~2.75 mi. I loved that. Easy and quick to West Asheville, River Arts District, and Downtown Asheville. PERFECT. Of course, hiking was nearby :) Space: Again, PERFECT! The space is perfect for a single person. The bed was soooo comfortable, my back didn't hurt once. There was a space for my work laptop and my nice big monitor in the bedroom. The kitchenette had everything you'd need for an extended stay. I even cooked several meals. Everything is very modern and up-to-date. Be prepared for the stairs! Again, I'm a hiker so the stairs to access the apartment were steep and many but that didn't bother me. GREAT private spacious deck that I thoroughly enjoyed! Being able to sit outside in the morning and enjoy my coffee while watching the sunset was THE BEST. Since I work remotely, the wifi was exceptional and always available. The View: SPECTACULAR! Upon my arrival the leaves had already started changing colors. You're up in the trees sort of on a steep hill. The mountains in the distance were amazing! This was a must for me to be able to see the mountains every day while I was in NC. As the leaves fall you get a truly clear view of the French Broad River and the Greenway. The hosts: I cannot thank Annie and Craig enough for providing this space! Annie and Craig were very accommodating and made sure my stay was exactly what I needed! They checked in on me periodically and were always available and quick to respond to communication when needed. They were quiet neighbors, and I genuinely enjoyed them both!
This was an awesome experience in every way! Thank for such a lovely accomodation in a great area.
This property was a beautiful place to call home for my six week stay in Asheville. Upon my arrival, Craig and Annie welcomed me with some goodies on the kitchen table and fresh flowers throughout the apartment. They were both wonderful communicators throughout my stay. The apartment appears exactly as the pictures. Clean, modern, and has everything you need! The private balcony overlooking the trees was very peaceful. It's hard to believe it is less than a 10 minute drive to downtown. I would highly recommend checking out the shops and restaurants in the nearby River Arts District and West Asheville during your stay here! I will definitely be booking this apartment again for my next trip to Asheville.
Craig and Annie have a nice place that is equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay.
This thoroughly modern Asheville apartment provided a nice retreat for us from Florida's heat. Craig's a great host, and had two vases of fresh flowers and bottles of wine awaiting us. The apartment is well fitted-out and features large screen TVs in both LR and BR. May not be suitable for folks unable to handle 2 flights of stairs or seeking easily walkable eateries.
We had a wonderful stay in this new clean apartment. Craig and Anne were available and ready to answer questions and offer assistance. There is a hike up stairs to reach the parking level but we surely needed the exercise! Wonderful way to experience the beauty of Asheville!
My husband and I had just sold our home and because of the pandemic had to cancel our long-term travel plans. We needed to quickly find somewhere to ‘shelter in place’. Luckily, our daughter spotted Craig and Annie’s place. It was a brand new listing so there were no reviews but we decided to take a chance and are glad we did. We were welcomed with flowers, wine, chocolates, fruit, coffee, and everything we would need for a comfortable stay. Cleaning supplies and paper products, a well-equipped kitchen, and lush towels and bedding made it easy to move right in. The apartment is on the first floor of Craig and Annie’s beautiful home in a hip but quiet residential neighborhood. Everything is new and modern and the apartment was spotless. It’s bright with large windows all along the front so it felt open and spacious. We had a large private balcony with plenty of seating. We enjoyed the view of the French Broad River and the mountains on the other side of the river. We walked almost every day on paths along the river or to various nearby parks. We appreciated the proximity to grocery stores and takeout places including The Hole for fresh, made to order donuts, Taco Billy’s, and Pizza Mind. New Belgium Brewing Company wasn’t open during the shutdown but it would have been an easy walk for a beer or a tour. We took a few short scenic drives, the Blue Ridge Parkway is not far. Last but not least are the kind and generous hosts, Craig and Annie. They were helpful in so many ways. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We can recommend staying here without hesitation.
