Stunning Hilltop Paradise Podere Maiano with AC!

Wonderful holidays in Tuscany ! The house was exactly as advertised, very comfortable, with AC in every room (which was very useful during hot waves in the middle of August) and bathrooms for each room. We slept like babies the whole week. The swimming pool was also great, after long trips in Firenze, Pisa or Sienna. We actually chose the location to be about an hour from all the main spots in Tuscany, but we were very lucky to find this house, 15 minutes from Volterra (the city at night is very nice). Its location on top of a hill, with a real 360 view, is amazing (the magic of drinking a Spritz at sun down with the view). Our hosts were great, always available to answer any question. Great place , Great Host

Podere Maiano is a truly wonderful villa. Perched on a hilltop the 360 degree views are spectacular. You will be hard pushed to find a villa with better views than this. The property itself has been recently renovated and the owners have decorated it perfectly capturing a wonderful balance between showcasing the original features of this farmhouse whilst mixing modern and traditional furniture that works wonderfully together. The owners have created some beautiful spaces outside too, the pool area is thoughtfully designed with a shower and wc and the pool itself is heated which is an added bonus. The location of the villa is just the right balance of countryside peace and quiet but still close to the beautiful Medieval town of Volterra which is just 10 minutes drive away. Local must see visits such as San Gimignano, Pisa, Siena and Firenze are also easy to get to and if you fancy a day at the beach you can also head to the sea in under an hour. Our family had a wonderful time here and we would love to return again soon. To cap it all off the hosts were brilliant, very welcoming and extremely helpful. Highly recommend.
