This 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath townhouse at Solterra Resort spreads 2,184 square feet over two floors in Davenport, 18 to 25 minutes from the Disney parks. The screened pool sits at the back with no house behind it, only a hedge, trees and a pond, so the swim that follows a park day happens with the family alone. Under the covered patio there is a table for six, which is where dinner usually lands when nobody wants to get back in the car. Inside, the granite island with four stools faces the dining table and the living room, so whoever is cooking stays in the conversation. Upstairs, two of the bedrooms were built for the kids who spend the whole flight talking about the parks: one is Star Wars, the other is Mickey. Two marked parking spaces sit right in front of the door, and the laundry room with full-size washer and dryer means you fly home with clean clothes.

Solterra Resort is a gated community built around the Solterra Club, a short drive or walk from the house. The club has a clubhouse with fitness center, a beach-entry pool with a water slide, a lazy river, a jacuzzi, poolside cabanas and a lounge with an outdoor fireplace, the Cafe Sol Bar & Grill, the Solterra Play Zone playground, tennis courts and a walking trail through the community. It gives the family a second plan for the day nobody wants to face a park queue.

The shared amenities of the Solterra Club are also available: clubhouse, fitness center, beach-entry pool with water slide, lazy river, jacuzzi, poolside cabanas, Cafe Sol Bar & Grill, playground, tennis courts and walking trail. Solterra charges a one-time amenity access fee of $35 per house per reservation, paid at the clubhouse by credit or debit card only. You pick up the access card there with your receipt and photo ID, and up to two cards are issued per party.

The Disney parks are 18 to 25 minutes by car, Universal Orlando 30 to 40 minutes, and Orlando International Airport (MCO) 35 to 45 minutes. A Walmart for groceries and pool-day supplies is 5 to 9 minutes away, and Vineland Premium Outlets are 22 to 30 minutes. The house itself backs onto a conservation area with a pond, so the streets around it stay calm even in high season.
A car is the practical way to move around this part of Orlando, and the house comes with two marked parking spaces at the front door at no cost. From Solterra you reach the Disney parks in 18 to 25 minutes, Universal in 30 to 40, and the airport in 35 to 45. Rideshare services and rental car agencies operate throughout the area for families who prefer not to drive every day, and the Solterra Club is close enough that a walk or a short drive covers the pool days.
