Lovely oceanfront condo that is beautifully decorated. Well stocked kitchen with new appliances. Very clean and easy walk to the beach. Bedrooms are nice with good mattresses. The wooden walkway to the beach needed repair. I called rental company but did not get a follow up call. The walkway was broken when we left.
The renting process is very easy, this house had everything you needed plus some hotel amenities, like soap, shampoo, conditioner, iron and ironing board. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the decor and being ocean front. Loved it close to lots of things to do. Georgetown, pawleys island, murrells inlet. Easy driving.
So great!
Property not as advertised. No elevator available. Outside stairway lights not functioning. Had bat in villa on Saturday night, called Peace emergency number, no response until Monday. Grandkids were terrorized. No follow thru by Peace.
The house was modern, comfortable, well equipped. My granddaughter really enjoyed the bunk room. We had access to the pool and easy way to the beach.
We loved our stay! The location was perfect near the beach and pool. We will definitely plan a return visit.
Michelle Brad Peace reality Debordieu country club Ronald Boyd's iPad I am reaching out to you after a very traumatic flood incident yesterday August 15, 2021 at 1109 Debordieu Boulevard unit 15 Powell property. 4:30 our entire family which includes myself, 63 knee and hip replacement, my husband, also 63 Ronald with a heart condition, our son 34-year-old and his wife also 34 and their five-year-old son for a family walk on the beach. We returned to the Villa 5ish to have sirens from the smoke detector blaring, water streaming from the ceiling, water streaming from the lights, water dripping down the walls and floor saturated with standing in water on the first floor. My five-year-old grandson was terrified from the shrieking smoke detectors. We were terrified not knowing what was going on. Our clothes, our food, our valuables all saturated with water coming from everywhere. My husband made his way up three flights of stairs to the very third floor bathroom to find that a hose had burst to the toilet viciously spilling water everywhere. He tried to turn the valve off. He could not , he took the hose crimped it, holding until help arrived. I was instructed to take the five year old grandson because I am not Mobile and get out at the villa, my son and daughter-in-law gathered as much of our personal property as they could to protect from any more water damage as my husband continued to hold the hose. I called Michelle who is our representing agent only to get a message which I left and requested for her to call 911 find somewhere for us to stay that night and send help. Her response was she would send maintenance. At that point I told her this was beyond what maintenance could do, that this was an emergency situation and to please send help. After waiting 20 minutes, no one had arrived. at this point I called 911. 911 informed me no one had made the call. I requested them to come as soon as possible after 25-30 minutes and I do have phone logs and videos of the flood to confirm. Security came and the fire department within minutes of each other. My husband instructed them to where the leak was. Security disabled the watermain outside. The fire department disabled the blaring smoke detectors. At this point a property manager had been summonsed, Brad. Brad informed us we could move to another home. We were unsure what to do in light of the devastating situation. It was very evident there was no remaining in the villa. A move would have to be made. Brad agreed he could find someone to help us collect and move to the new location. Brad remained on his phone in obvious concern for protecting the Villa, his interest in us as a family as humans as customers was non-existent. Not a single I'm sorry, not a are you okay, not a what can I do to help nothing the same from Michelle. After phone calls again to request help in transporting from the Villa to the new location it was clear no one would help and no one cared. Upon arrival at the new home the maids were still cleaning we were hot we were soaking wet we were carrying wet clothes wet towels as much as we could handle. We were able to unload at 8:45. The maids were gracious. I gave them a tip. After 9:30 we were finally able to shower and find dry clothes. No one had eaten we had to drive to Georgetown for takeout completely exhausted and very just disheartened. This morning we all woke exhausted and in disbelief of what we had just been through. We are now in another very old home, charming as it may be, we do not need six bedrooms. We no longer have access to a swimming pool out the back door as we had selected at the villa, we no longer have beach friendly area. Because of the seawall and the vicious waves this is not a safe area for grandchildren. I am highly disappointed in the lack of professionalism ,empathy, humanity and kindness that we experience yesterday it is beyond my belief that there could be no appropriations made for such conduct, or lack of conduct. I cannot in good faith recommend a return trip for myself or anyone else. It was clear that during this crisis no one wanted to help and no one really cared shame on you All. Shame on you all. Gwen Boyd
Very impressed with peace vacations. Accommodating, prompt and professional. We look forward to using your agency again. John Kittredge
I left a voicemail upon check in with many of these same details. This unit in real life appears very different from the photos in the listing and with no guest reviews to read, there is no way for us to arrive with the proper expectations. The furniture in both the living room and enclosed porch were dirty. We used some of the extra bed linens as couch covers to be able to sit on them. The carpets were stained and dirty to the point that our feet were dirty from walking on them barefoot. The kitchen has fallen into disrepair, not all of the burners on the stove worked properly, or at all and the first cabinet we opened to see what utensils there were had a completely rusted cheese grater on the top of a stack of bowls. Needless to say everything got washed again prior to our using it. There were several other examples of parts of the property being in disrepair, and I'll send a few example photos that we took in a separate email. Overall, we feel that the unit needs some upgrades and a good cleaning prior to it being rented in the future. If the condition was made known prior to our renting, and if the price charged properly reflected the poor condition, that would be one thing, but neither of those happened, so we left being very disappointed with the experience. In addition, the community pool was closed for repairs, which is a pretty standard thing to update your renters on, and we were not notified of this. We would not have chosen this property had we known upfront what the state of the property was like and we feel that the photos and description were deceiving. We actually deliberated whether or not to stay after we called and left a message, a call which was never returned by your office. We expected better at this price point and this property and experience reflect poorly on your company.
Home is in a great location. Garage outlet did not work for golf cart charger, furnishings were really dirty(including spilled milk and cereal between cushions by previous tenants), door closers didn't work, no filter for coffee maker, no dust pan, no vacuum, mildew in 2 bathrooms . Home has nice layout for sleeping arrangements and beachfront location cannot be beat but disappointed in condition of home.
