Saint François, Villa Alexandra with private pool, quiet, secure residence.

This 3-bedroom (BR) villa is located in a peaceful surrounding, area restricted by a gate to the road (150m). Al least as nice than impression from the pictures. Small private pool with sunbeds. Pool/terrace which is rather well protected from wind (which we experienced only little). Well equipped kitchen and spacious dining/living area open to the pool. AC in bedrooms. BR with WC+Shower on 2nd floor, Shower in both BR downstairs, with 1 separate WC. Car needed for transportation (e.g to beach, bakery, grocery store, StFrancois) but this is mostly the case in Guadeloupe anyway. Beach (Raisin Clairs in St Francois) at 2 km, can also be reached by foot. Good restaurants a 1.5 km (Chez Christine, Les Freres de la Cote). Lesly met as at the villa on arrival and was punctual at our departure. Responded immediately to a couple of small requests and was also flexible when possible. Be prepared for overnight (i.e 6pm-7am; occured 3 times in 2 weeks) break in water supply, but this is due to (planned) restrictions in water consumption in Guadeloupe and no fault of the owner or Lesly. If the inhabitants and restaurants can cope, so should you. We had a fabulous vacation in Guadeloupe and this villa (stayed 11 nights) did not disappoint.

Our family of five (2 adults and 3 children) stayed here for 8 nights. Positive comments: the host Eve who met us speaks English and was always available to answer questions; the Villa and private pool are very clean and well maintained; the layout is great (all 3 bedrooms have their own shower); the five panels between the living area and the deck outside can be opened with a single button; the Villa is located in a gated community; there's an outdoor gas BBQ grill. Due to rationing, all water supply is turned off two nights per week, but this Villa has an outdoor/pool shower that still works during those times. Constructive comments: the water in the pool was chilly; we thought it would be easier/closer to walk to the ocean, but it's across the road and down a hill into another gated community, so we never actually walked to the water from our Villa. We highly recommend this Villa.
