Retreat w/ heatable pool & BBQ

This villa is excellent for large families. The bedroom distribution works really well, especially the ground floor layout for the kids. The kitchen is fully equipped and very spacious, making it easy to prepare meals for a big group. We paid the extra fee to heat the pool, and it was definitely worth it—the kids spent hours in it. The surrounding area is very quiet and relaxing, but you can drive to Olhos de Água and local supermarketsrestaurants in just a few minutes.

We stayed at Villa Zanzibar with a large group of friends, and it was absolutely perfect. The house is incredibly spacious and comfortable, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate everyone easily. We loved the large, bright living room and spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying the open countryside views. The outdoor area is fantastic—the private pool, barbecue space, and entertainment areas kept everyone happy. It is a peaceful rural retreat but still so close to Albufeira and the beach!

We had such a lovely stay at this villa with our whole family. Amazing location. Really peaceful, amazing pool area and lots of activities, and also only a 10 min drive to the gorgeous coastline. We loved how spacious the villa is and we felt right at home. I can’t recommend this place enough we would 100% stay again. Fantastic host communication and easy check in.

We had an amazing family holiday at Villa Zanzibar. The house is really spacious and well-equipped, with everything we needed, from a big dining table to the pool, ping pong and foosball tables, there was always something to keep the kids entertained. The kitchen had all the essentials, and we loved eating outside near the BBQ. The area is peaceful and green, and just a short drive to Olhos de Água and Albufeira. We'd definitely recommend it for families looking for a quiet but fun base in the Algarve.

Although we had a good stay at the villa, it is very isolated from the nearest shops, bars restaurants etc. thank god for the Trevelers Cafe at the end of the lane. I think the kitchen could do with upgrading and the table tennis table has warped with the heat. Unfortunately we were swamped with Ants during our stay. Not sure what can be done about this! The pool was a great size and thoroughly enjoyed by all ages. We used Ubers to get us to and from olhos d agua and Albufeira which are both beautiful places. Also it would have been welcomed if some basic essential were complimentary such as water, milk, tea coffe and biscuits on arrival as we had an early flight and had to wait 4 hours before being able to check in.
