Renovated villa w/ lush nature views & screened porch only steps to the beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed in this same unit for 4 years. The propeety is beautiful, there is a lovely pool, and a very short walk to the beach. We did have a few things happen this year that we've never experienced. For the first time, we had bugs in the kitchen.They looked like enormous ants with wings. Also,check out tine is 10am. The cleaning crew came at 8am and unloaded all of their towels,vacuum,cleaning supplies right at the front door.Then the stood outside and waited at the bottom of the steps. It felt rushed ha ing people stand there 2 hours early waiting. We were out before the 10am check out. We have stayed at Wendover Dunes a total of 6 tines, 3 or 4 in this unit. We've never had bugs or been rushed out at the end before. I think these were one offs but something to consider.

Heated community pool was great during spring break. Only downsides were the very early and constant leaf blowing and a nosy woman (neighbor?) asking my husband if we were staying there and which unit. It didnt bother him, he just assumed it was a local Karen but it made me uncomfortable and unwelcome.

Our annual trip to HHI was perfect, the condo was our favorite we’ve ever stayed in. Clean, updated flawlessly, and perfect for our family of 5. Would love to stay here again!

We had the best time! Short walk to beach and tennis. They even have a cabinet filled with games for the kids. I would highly recommend this property for your next trip to HHI.

This was our first trip to HHI, and I was overwhelmed with the options. I cannot say more about this property in Palmetto Dunes- it is beautiful, 30 seconds away from the pool, and not much farther to the beach. We swam late into the night, and always felt very safe. Palmetto dunes reminded me of our small town in Ohio- slow, but safe and easy. We filled our days with fishing, bike rides to play pickleball and a daily venture “out” somewhere: putt putt, trolley ride, shelter cove. The most we had to travel was to actually get TO the main street (Wendover Dunes is one of the last complexes in Palmetto Dunes). We did use the Dune Buggy service, which is another great perk. We visited other areas of the island, and I think we will always come back to Palmetto Dunes. It is central enough to go out but not nearly as crazy as Coligny. Specific to this property, I would recommend to anyone! The screened porch got a lot of use by our family of 7- it was a perfect extension to the house. Everything was beautiful, new and coastal. Thanks for being a great host and to Pam for being so quick to respond to simple questions.

Kitchen is well equipped and very spacious and beautiful. Master suite was wonderful with a small balcony. Large en suite bathroom with a double sink, shower, tub, toilet room and a large walk in closet with plenty of hangers. Our son and his family joined us for the second half of our vacation and their room was off of the family room separated by a door into a foyer of sort, one side was the bedroom with two queen beds and large walk in closet, on the other side of the foyer was a very spacious en suite bathroom with a double sink, shower, tub, and toilet room. There are games, cards and a checkers table. Our grandchildren enjoyed the full back porch and the warm swimming pool and of course the beautiful beach. They have four beach chairs and some beach towels. Don't hesitate on this rental, you won't be disappointed! Everything is as pictured. Five stars to Island Time, which is a great rental company! Ask for Haleigh.
