Queen Lydia Villa - Walking to Kalamies Beach

The villa is brand new on a small development and was well equipped. Quiet location, close to beach and boardwalk. The management team were extremely helpful and responsive. A car is recommended, especially out of season. The new marina will be an additional bonus when completed.

We had an excellent stay in this magnificent villa. All the comforts for a great vacation. The villa is spacious, well equipped, the exterior with the swimming pool and the barbecue are wonderful. If there are two problems to remember I would say the maintenance of the swimming pool. In the description, maintenance twice a week. We never saw it during the three weeks. He may have passed when we were not at the villa, but it always had sand in the bottom without it having been cleaned for 3 weeks. It is also written that stays of more than 10 days benefit from one free per week. but we had rented for 3 weeks, so we logically expected 3 households. We were told that we are only allowed 2 the elderly?! Finally the big big problem is the absence of a 2nd key. You should know that the key is attached to a key ring (inseparable) which allows you to activate the electricity. So if we leave the villa to lock the door, it is essential to cut off the electricity. The problem is not having a second pair of keys. In fact, in the evening when we wanted to go out with my wife but the children (teenagers) wanted to stay at home, we could not take the keys with us without cutting off the electricity. Our children were then forced to stay awake in order to open the door for us. This really caused a problem during our stay. Otherwise it was perfect we highly recommend it and will definitely come back.

The villa is in a nice quiet location. It is a little further back, so you have more privacy. In the morning, the terrace is in the shade, which was ideal for us because the children could play in the shade. If you still want sun, you can use the roof terrace. In the evening you can sit on the terrace in the evening sun - that was great! The pool was nice and warm so you didn't freeze (we were there in early June). There are 2 beaches nearby, Serena Bay and Kalamies Beach. We liked Kalamies Beach better, it's bigger and has finer sand, the water is calmer and the entrance to the sea is very shallow with no rocks. This was ideal for small children. There is a barbecue outside and a shower by the pool. There is a larger bedroom in which we had a crib and an extra bed. However, it was so big that another extra bed would have fitted in. In all 3 bedrooms there are double beds and curtains and white blackout blinds (so it's not completely dark) and large wardrobes. Only the bathrooms are a bit small (but each bedroom has its own), it would be better if shelves could be fitted as storage space. The floor was not clean at first, but Georgia took care of that immediately and sent the cleaning. We can therefore only praise the service and recommend the stay!
