Private and heated swiming pool - Wi-Fi - Cable and Satelite TV - large garden

Well presented property which was spotlessly clean on arrival. Great communication from the owner who was easy to contact. The villa was as described with everything we needed, plus a few unexpected extras, which were much appreciated. The outside area was lovely and the villa was a great base for exploring the island. The washing machine was very useful following our hot and dusty levada walks, and a great villa to come back to for a dip in the pool and to relax at.

This is a fabulous property, with well maintained grounds, a lovely pool and summer kitchen. If anything, the photos don't do it justice! Casa Manga was extremely clean snd Manuel left us a much appreciated welcome pack with some nice Madeiran touches. The fresh eggs (most days) from the chickens and the seasonal fresh fruit from the orchard area were a welcome bonus. The only real downside to this property is that a car is a must if you want to explore the area or visit a bar or restaurant in the evening. Walking to the property is quite challenging as the road to is steep and windy in places.A word of warning …make sure you have a phone with working google maps before you set out to find the property. Our hire car had a satnav that was not updated so the address and postcode did not register on the satnav. It took us several hours to find the place - we got there eventually but some detailed written directions from the host would have been helpful! Once found, Casa Manga was a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the wonderful winter sunshine!

What a find. Our own little Oasis in the Madeira countryside. We stayed 3 nights after some time in Funchal, and on Porto Santo, but this stood out as our highlight. The heated pool was a perfect size for our young family, and we had exclusive use. The property had everything we could wish for and will be our first port of call if we holiday in Madeira again. Manuel is an attentive host, and is expert at balancing privacy and assistance. Thank you for a wonderful stay, for all the delicious fresh food, and fit the great restaurant recommendation! Everything is in easy reach, and directions provided made the property easy to find.

Very good and good communication with owner Manuel

The villa is perfect if you want a quiet holiday away from noisy neighbours. It’s extremely private and not overlooked. The Villa has 2 bedrooms on the upper floor with a bathroom and there’s a 3rd bedroom downstairs again with a full bathroom. Outside there’s an amazing pool well heated ( was 27-29C while we were there). There is also an outdoor kitchen area with a shower and toilet to save walking through the house with wet feet. Pool towels and bath towels were provided. The villa gets sun from early morning through to sunset, we were there late June for 12 days and had 10 full days of sun and 2 half days. Manuel does a lot of work in the adjoining mango tree orchards so we met regularly. Nothing was ever a problem. There are 2 chickens and a rooster ( don’t worry you can hardly hear the rooster when it crows). Trying to find eggs daily was a fun activity as on 10 of the 12 days the chickens didn’t lay eggs in their pen lol. Practice your hill starts if driving a car as Madeira has a lot of twisty steep roads. We loved it so much we have already reserved the villa for next year. Thank you Manuel for your hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our recent 2 week stay at Casa da Manga. This beautiful property was everything described and more. The views of the surrounding hills were spectacular in this quiet neighborhood. Our host, Manuel left us a gift of local favorites and eggs for breakfast. He greeted us by phone to make sure everything was in order. We enjoyed swimming in the crystal clear pool. We couldn’t be happier with our stay.

Madeira was warm and sunny in February- exactly what we were seeking. Manuel’s house is just wonderful. We used the heated pool several times and just generally enjoyed being outdoors on this beautiful island. We chose not to hire a car because we wanted a different kind of holiday- we walked a lot uphill and downhill! It’s possible to walk down to the town - maybe less than 30 mins. If we had shopping we got a taxi home for €10. Manuel is a lovely man and very thoughtful - he gave us a little welcome package of papaya from the garden, Madeira wine, local bread and more! We would definitely return and we highly recommend Casa da manga! Thank you Manuel

Beautiful casa in its own grounds. Pool kept immaculate. Beautiful quiet area. Would need own vehicle as quite isolated and very steep hills. Owner very helpful and friendly.
